Project Manager

AA Euro Group is recruiting a Project Manager for a civil engineering contractor delivering packages in excess of £80M across some of the UK’s most high-profile infrastructure developments.

Backed by the Contracts Manager and Project Director, this is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing business with a strong pipeline and clear routes for career progression.

Key Responsibilities


  • Manage one or more projects from pre-construction through to handover
  • Lead site teams to ensure safe, timely, and budget-conscious delivery
  • Monitor contract progress and ensure adherence to programme milestones
  • Support the QS team with cost control, variations, and monthly forecasting
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including progress reports
  • Liaise with the design team to track deliverables and resolve technical queries
  • Coordinate directly with clients to maintain strong working relationships
  • Chair progress and coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure scope adherence
  • Monitor site safety, quality, and environmental standards at all stages
  • Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive planning
  • Review construction drawings, plans, and schedules for accuracy
  • Manage programme scheduling using MS Project or similar tools
  • Ensure site activities align with agreed sequencing and delivery targets
  • Oversee procurement and materials logistics in coordination with commercial teams
  • Handle client and consultant communications professionally and effectively
  • Support project handovers with detailed final documentation and QA sign-off
  • Lead a culture of accountability and continuous improvement on site
  • Work collaboratively with estimating and planning teams during tender stages
  • Ensure clear reporting of project KPIs to senior management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project escalation and resolution
  • Promote a positive and inclusive site culture, leading by example
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and company HSEQ policies

Candidate Requirements


  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
  • 8+ years’ experience, with at least 2 as Project Manager
  • Background with Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractors preferred
  • Proven track record in delivering large-scale civils packages
  • Strong understanding of RC works, earthworks, and infrastructure services
  • Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills
  • Skilled in MS Office, MS Project (or equivalent planning tools)
  • Thorough understanding of HSEQ systems and procedures
