Job Title: MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician – Newton Abbot
📍 Location: Newton Abbot
💰 Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 OTE
🕔 Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week (No Sundays!)

🚗 About the Role We are recruiting on behalf of the UK’s largest automotive service, maintenance and repair business, based in Newton Abbot.

They are seeking a qualified MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join a thriving and friendly team in their busy Autocentre / Service Department.
As an MOT Tester & Vehicle Technician, you will carry out MOT tests, vehicle servicing, inspections, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles.

You’ll also support general workshop duties when not performing MOTs.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards (Class 4, 5 or 7)
- Perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs on a variety of makes and models
- Support team members in general workshop tasks
- Deliver high-quality workmanship with excellent attention to detail
- Adhere to health and safety and compliance regulations

🔧 Requirements:

- MOT Testing Licence (current and valid)

- IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
(accepted: City & Guilds Level 3, Level 2 with experience, Automotive qualifications) - Previous experience in a main dealer, independent garage, car supermarket, or service centre
- Full UK Driving Licence (with fewer than 9 points)
- Experience working on LCVs or cars
- Hybrid / EV trained is an advantage (training provided if not)
