Contract Quality Engineer - AS9100/9102

The Redline Group is working in partnership with a specialist electronics manufacturer to support their search for a Contract Quality Engineer for an initial 3 month contract, supporting multiple aerospace and defence programmes.

We are looking for someone who is available to start as soon as possible and can work fully on site in Bedford, with flexibility around start and finish times across a 40 hour working week.

Our customer is a globally recognised engineering business that develops and manufactures highly complex electronic and embedded technology for demanding applications.

As a result of increased project activity across several key programmes, they require an experienced Contract Quality Engineer to provide support to the Quality Manager and take ownership of key quality activities within the business.

The successful Contract Quality Engineer will be responsible for supporting quality engineering activity across key projects, with a particular focus on FAIRs and PPAPs.

You will work closely with manufacturing, engineering and quality teams to ensure documentation, processes and product quality requirements are maintained and delivered to the required standards.

Key Skills Required for the Contract Quality Engineer - Bedford:

• Strong experience working within AS9100 / AS9102 environments


• Proven experience creating and reviewing FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports)


• Experience supporting PPAP activities and quality documentation


• Background within aerospace, defence or highly regulated manufacturing environments


• Contractors must be eligible to obtain BPSS clearance

This role has an indicative OUTSIDE IR35 determination therefore we can accept candidates who would like to operate through their own PSC.
