Asbestos Surveyor / Consultant
Location: Cornwall / Devon
Salary: £25k - £35k (DOE) + Excellent Benefits
Full-Time, Monday - Friday, Hybrid Considered (40 hours)
The Client:
Our client is a prominent environmental services provider, offering comprehensive asbestos and Legionella management solutions to clients across the UK.
The Role:
As an Asbestos Consultant, youll conduct asbestos management, refurbishment, demolition, and reinspection surveys.
You will occasionally be required to cover sites in the surrounding counties of Somerset and Dorset.
Responsibilities:
* Perform asbestos sampling and utilise TEAMS asbestos database software for reporting.
* Produce detailed asbestos survey reports.
* Assist in managing large-scale projects and pricing complex surveys.
* Complete risk assessments and method statements.
* Coordinates with clients and contractors.
* Maintain and calibrate equipment.
* Ensure compliance with UKAS, HSG 264, and HSG 248 regulations.
* Manage safe waste storage and disposal.
* Complete IQC, MQC, RICE, and AIMS as required.
Requirements:
* Previously worked as an Asbestos Consultant or in a similar role.
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy.
* Must have a BOHS P402 qualification.
* Competency in conducting various asbestos surveys.
* Ideally, have BOHS P401, P403, and P404 qualifications.
* At least 2 years of experience in an asbestos surveyor role would be beneficial.
* Skilled in TEAMS, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office would be beneficial.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Full UK driving licence.

As a Retail Team Leader you will take accountability for managing teams of up to 60 stock counters, delivering the end to end stock taking service while on our client's sites.
We require flexible availability, as the shift lengths may vary and you will be travelling to a different client site each day.
You may occasionally be expected to stay away from home.
Days: Monday - Sunday (5 in 7 day working shift pattern)
Hours of Work: Evening/Night shifts.

You will be expected to ensure the following within your team:
Correct procedures and processes are followed
Exceptional customer service standards are delivered on all sites
Stock Counts are completed accurately and within the given time frame
Team productivity is monitored and improved where possible
Person Specification:
A Full Driving License
Outstanding customer service skills
The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
Basic IT skills
The ability to remain focused when under pressure
Manage time effectively and work without immediate supervision
Willingness and ability to travel
Please note all work will require prolonged periods of standing and some use of step stools and ladders.
Some sites are in warehouses or large retail premises where you may be required to access and work with ground and high level stock.
This role will involve working unsociable hours, working early mornings or night shifts, this therefore means we are unable to hire anyone under the age of 18 years.
