Income Officer Sevenoaks Temporary 3 months Full-time 37 Hours THE ROLE As an Income Recovery Officer, you will be joining an Income Team within a Housing Association based in Sevenoaks, and will be responsible for maximising income recovery efforts across all tenures, ensuring tenancy sustainment, and managing arrears cases through to completion.
Key responsibilities include:
Prompt recovery of rent arrears and other debts across general needs, shared ownership, and supported tenancies
Managing rent accounts and providing tailored support for tenants to sustain tenancies
Communicating with tenants through calls, letters, home visits, and unannounced visits to resolve arrears cases
Representing West Kent Housing in Court proceedings, including preparing legal documents and statements
Serving Notices of Seeking Possession and representing cases with a high level of accuracy
Supporting tenants with benefit advice and providing referrals for additional support services
Consistently achieving KPI targets to reduce arrears percentages
THE CANDIDATE The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar income recovery or housing role, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service and meeting challenging targets.
Additional requirements include:
Proven track record in effective income recovery and arrears management
Experience in court representation and legal process management
Strong communication skills for tenant outreach and negotiation
Ability to perform home visits and maintain professional boundaries
Understanding of welfare benefits and referral processes
THE CONTRACT 3 months, with the potential for extension The pay range for the role is £20.00 to £22.00 per hour LTD company rate.
