About the Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide 1:1 support to a student with autism, helping them navigate their educational journey and reach their developmental goals.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support a small group of boys with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them build resilience, confidence, and academic progress.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and SENDCo, who will provide comprehensive support throughout your role.

This position involves leading group sessions such as recreational activities for residents as part of care schemes.
You will take a senior position to aid in the smooth administration of therapy over patients with complex physical/ cognitive disabilities.
You will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to patients with various conditions by acting as a point of call for those around you such as nurses and healthcare assistants.
You will manage your own caseload and ensure your patients receive the right treatment plans.

Responsibilities
Manage a clinical caseload and ensure residents receive high-quality care, following the College of Occupational Therapists (COT) standards and ethics.
Be professionally and legally responsible for your work.
Plan and deliver personalised treatments based on evidence and expertise, including:24-hour postural management, Resident education, Cognitive activities/programs, Daily living tasks (ADL and IADL)
Perform specialised neurological assessments, including: Wessex Head Injury Matrix (WHIM), Sensory Modality Assessment and Rehabilitation Technique (SMART), JFK Coma Recovery Scale Revised (CRS-R)
Conduct other cognitive assessments like: MMSE, MOCA

Identify and assess pupils' SEN, coordinating tailored support plans.
Arrange and monitor external services, ensuring accurate records.
Lead EHCP reviews, involving parents and pupils effectively.
Maintain consistent communication with parents about pupil progress.
Manage transitions between schools, sharing relevant information.
Promote inclusion, ensuring equal access to the curriculum and activities.
Collaborate with designated teachers for looked-after children with SEN.
Leadership and Management
Ensure the school meets obligations under the Equality Act 2010.
Prepare SEN information for the governing board.
Contribute to school policies and the improvement plan.
