About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our team, contributing towards a better and more sustainable future.
In this role, you will collaborate with the Quality team and other departments to ensure that the products and solutions we deliver to our customers meet the highest standards of quality.
Your responsibilities will include managing quality-related documentation, engaging with suppliers, and supporting customer visits, all while striving for continuous improvement in product quality.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Quality Engineer, your main duties will include:
Reviewing material certifications, non-destructive examination results, and material testing reports.
Surveying seal assemblies during manufacturing, testing, and prior to packing.
Preparing reports to meet customer contract requirements, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), material certifications, and dimensional reporting.
Analysing data to identify recurring problems and defining corrective and preventive actions.
Addressing internal and external quality issues.
Supporting customer complaint and warranty investigations.
Assisting with internal NCR investigations and conducting internal audits as needed.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Supporting product and project delivery quality planning activities.
Ensuring compliance with all local Health & Safety regulations.
Key Qualifications and ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you should have:
Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar quality-focused role.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
Experience in conducting audits.
Strong stakeholder management skills.
Excellent verbal communication, technical writing, and process improvement skills.
Experience working within a highly regulated industry.
Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools, concepts, and methodologies such as root cause analysis, 8D, Pareto analysis, and FMECA.
This role involves occasional travel, primarily within the UK and occasionally overseas, to meet with customers and suppliers.

Order parts (if applicable) ensuring they are supplied correctly, in full and in time for the vehicle's arrival, which may include returning parts that are incorrect or not required.
You are also required (if applicable) to check whether parts received from the supplier, are genuine, non-genuine or second-hand for suitability, before labelling the parts and locating them for future traceability.
To maintain a file of all estimates undertaken making sure that all work that is not automatically authorised is identified.
Ensure that any such work does not commence until authorisation is gained, following up on any unauthorised estimates and reporting reasons.
Once authorisation has been gained liaise with the body shop personnel and make sure that they understand fully the work to be done as per the estimate.
Alternately communicate to the body shop if, by agreement with the insurance company, the vehicle is deemed a “total loss”.
To be aware of and adhere to all Health and Safety regulations and policies applicable to your position and working environment.
TECHNICAL JOB KNOWLEDGE The level and scope of technical knowledge will be discussed and agreed upon with your manager or team leader.
OTHER DUTIES Due to the size and complexity of the establishment, you will undertake any other reasonable tasks or duties that are deemed to be within your capability, as directed by a senior manager of the Group to whom you have a reporting relationship.

Our client based in North London is currently recruiting for an Early Shift HGV/PSV Technician to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a full time, temporary position based in North London offering between £30 - £32 per hour Umbrella LTD.
The purpose of the role is to inspect, service, maintain prepare for test, fault find and repair all Council and other vehicle and plant assets in accordance with (as applicable by vehicle type) DVSAs Heavy Goods Vehicle Inspection Manual, Public Service Vehicle Inspection Manual, MOT Inspection Manual for class 3,4,5 & 7 vehicles, DVSA Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness, Manufacturer and Council maintenance requirements.
Responsibilities:
Completion of all work tasks relating to primary job function as instructed by Workshop Manager or other covering supervisory staff.
Maintenance of professional competence in relation to the primary job function, this will require satisfactory completion of training and assessment as required by the Council.
Completion of road tests on designated routes as instructed by Workshop Manager or other covering supervisory staff
Movement of vehicles for the purpose of repair, maintenance, preparation or testing.
Have good knowledge and understanding on electric vehicles and be willing to undertake IMI Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 qualification.
Requirements:
Formal Qualification(s) in Motor Vehicle Repair such as City & Guilds parts 1,2+3 / BTec National Certificate or NVQ Level 3
Current IRTEC Licence (may be completed in first three months of post)

Dealing with internal and external audits by developing programs, reviews and examinations surrounding different audits such as BRC and Customer
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance guidance, facilitate communication, streamline training, and promote consistent work practices.
Conducting thorough training with each member of staff to ensure they are compliant with the QA standards and are regularly updated on best practices and any changes in procedures.
Communicating with the Leadership team on important QA and GMP Compliance issues, whilst also collating the data to back up certain issues.

Previous experience working as an Assistant Quality Manager, QA Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, QA Supervisor within a Food, Drink or FMCG Manufacturing organisation.
Qualified in Level 3 HACCP and Level 3 Food Safety.
Experience in leading and developing a team, including mentoring individuals, fostering collaboration, and driving performance to achieve organisational goals.
A proactive mindset, capable of using their own initiative to generate ideas that will advance the Technical department.
