The role
Fugro are looking for a Proposal Specialist to join the Metocean monitoring and forecasting team working in the offshore sustainable energy and marine sectors.
Based out of either our Wallingford or Portchester offices you will be part of a 16 strong team responsible for building winning quotes and tenders for our clients located across Europe and Africa (EUAF).
You will collaborate closely with Fugro colleagues throughout EUAF, as well as in Asia and the Americas.
You will be commercially astute and have tendering and/or project management experience gained in the offshore sector combined with a good technical background.

Building project costing and determining margin.

Ensure all relevant documents are shared with the client and that there is accurate recording keeping throughout.
Working collaboratively with clients through tender clarifications, negotiations, feedback, and handover to the project teams.
Keep up to date with industry, competitor and scientific news and developments (renewable energy, energy transition, coastal infrastructure, CCS, etc.), attending selected exhibitions and conferences.
Who we're looking for:
Essential:
Professional experience working in offshore marine/metocean, environmental, survey or engineering.
Professional experience working in a tendering and/or project management role
Driven and enthusiastic with a desire to achieve technical and commercial success.
Organised with an ability to prioritise tasks, strong attention to detail, conscientious and able to work on own initiative.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills, with an interest to learn the use of new software packages (Fugro's internal support services software).

As a Senior Marine Operations Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of marine surveys to include Metocean field engineering activities.
The engineer will be the lead person managing the deployment and recovery of Metocean equipment, both moorings and subsea components while also acting as the offshore client liaison.

ROV Workshop Technician (Electrical)
The role
As a Workshop Technician, you will work within the ROV Workshop team and report directly to the ROV Workshop Supervisor.
You will also collaborate with Fugro project teams, logistics, the Technical Manager, and other ROV support teams both internally and externally.
A typical day in this role involves undertaking testing, maintenance, preparation, repair, and certification of all types of ROV systems and associated equipment in a safe manner.
You will maintain and update all documentation associated with maintenance, fault repair, and equipment preparation, ensure the safe load-out of systems and equipment for pre-mobilisation, and assist with the provision of technical and operational support to meet business requirements.
Additionally, you will engage with and participate in discussions with project teams to ensure successful project execution.
We are looking for someone with a recognised apprenticeship in an electrical discipline (or equivalent), 18th Edition training or equivalent, and COMPEX certification.
You should have knowledge of principles, techniques, procedures, and the use of equipment required for the repair and maintenance of industrial electrical equipment.
The ability to read, comprehend, and follow wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, OEM manuals, and engineering instructions is essential, as are good workshop practices and skills.
You should be based in or within commutable distance of Aberdeen.
Desirable qualifications include an understanding of mechanical and hydraulic principles, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), and previous experience working on ROV systems and/or Subsea Tooling equipment either in an offshore or onshore environment.

As Workshop Technician you will be working within the Marine Site Characterisation Geophysical team in Aberdeen.

The role
As an Offshore Inspection Engineer you will be responsible for assisting onshore or offshore project preparation activities including online data recording systems, offline data editing and quality-control for structural and pipeline inspections.
While offshore you will be working closely with the team of Inspectors, Surveyors, Engineers, Data Processors and ROV personnel to ensure all inspection and survey equipment is working effectively and data is collected efficiently and accurately.
You will communicate regularly with the team onboard the vessel and when required clients.
You will work alongside the MAI Client Deliverables Team based in Aberdeen who will provide ongoing support throughout the project life cycle.
Who we're looking for:
You will have formal qualifications to a minimum of HND level in Engineering or IT.
Hold an in date CSWIP 3.4u or 3.3u preferably, however we are happy to discuss with candidates who hold a 3.0 and above who are keen to progress with the 3.4u. Previous Offshore experience working with ROVs as an Inspection Engineer and/or Coordinator in UKCS as well as MS Office experience.
You will ensure the safe, efficient, and profitable execution of all ROV platform and vessel-based pipeline and structural inspections.
QC of Inspection data recording, quality control of real-time video data and ensuring that, where required, all data sheets are completed accurately.
Ensure anomalies identified during online and offline inspections are accurately recorded and reported to the Inspection Coordinator, Superintendent/OVM and Client in a timely manner determined by the magnitude of the finding and anomaly criteria.
Assist in project reporting and delivery in accordance with Fugro and client specifications and document control parameters; document any variations to the workscope or procedures and inform the Client Deliverables department.
Promote teamwork at the worksite among all associated parties and ensure good communication lines, especially during shift handovers.
