About the Role:
The London Borough of Bromley, Adult Learning Disability Team, are looking for Social Workers and Senior Social Workers to join our friendly hard-working team who want to make a difference in the lives of people with a learning disability.
The Team supports people with learning disabilities to live healthy, independent lives and keep safe and well in the community, working closely with the person, their families and carers.
As a qualified Social Worker, you will work with a number of people with a learning disability to implement short - long term interventions, utilising a person centred and strengths based approach to ensure that the person's independence and well-being are promoted in the community.
Social Workers will work according to the relevant legislation and statutory guidance for people with a learning disability in need of care and support.
Routinely you would be undertaking social care needs assessments, support planning and review, mental capacity assessments, Continuing Health Care decision support tools and safeguarding enquiries when necessary.
You may also be involved in engaging in more complex situations, including making applications to the Court of Protection.
You will need excellent report writing and computer skills.
Record keeping is a vital and necessary part of the job and being able to communicate effectively is central to the role.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible, committed, and hard working with a willingness to work to quality practice standards, keeping the person at the heart of all interventions.
They must have experience of working within a multidisciplinary framework and need to have good negotiating skills.
The successful candidate will be working with Partner Agencies and will be required to maintain good working relationships.
They will be required to work as a duty worker on an occasional basis, undertake statutory Safeguarding work (s42 Care Act 2014), Mental Capacity Act (2007) and best Interest assessments and may also be required to provide supervision/support to less experienced staff.
Some experience of supervision is desirable but not essential.
Applicants must hold a Degree in Social Work, (or equivalent).
Social Workers are expected to undertake appropriate training and be responsible for their personal Continuous Professional Development.
Essential - Being able to move efficiently both around the Borough and to undertake care needs assessment and reviews of placements in and outside of the Borough is an integral and regular feature of the Bromley LD team social worker role, and therefore having a full current driving licence is desirable; and use of a means of transport is also deemed to be desirable for the performance of the job - please note the availability of a car via the lease car scheme.

The position requires recent court experience and the ideal candidate would be keen to join a team that specialises in court work within a safeguarding team.
The successful candidate must:
Be very well organised, have the ability to communicate effectively and articulate evidence in care proceedings.
Write reports to a high standard, that are concise, evidence based for court and adoption panel (i.e Child Permanency and Adoption Placement Reports)
Meet court timelines for submission of statements, care plans, and to effectively parallel plan for children considering all relevant options to secure permanent care at the earliest opportunity for the child.
Undertake assessments (i.e parenting and together and apart assessments), plan appropriate intervention and work creatively with children and families who are in court proceedings
Have a good understanding of safeguarding thresholds and ability to assess and analysis risks, including good knowledge of child development and attachment theories and permanency needs of children of all ages

OSHA Training.

The WTI Field Resources Supervisor is responsible for the timely delivery of services, profitability, and all employee management and training within the region.
Duties/Responsibilities, Core Knowledge:
Coordinate staffing and scheduling of all WTI Field Reps in his/her respective region to ensure proper utilization of manpower on specific jobs for highest profitability.
Collaborate with other Field Supervisors as necessary. Oversee the Quality Control (QC) process of all WTI Field Reps in the region, which will include random site visits to previous and current job sites, proper documentation to ensure that all work was completed properly and that the customer is fully satisfied.
Ensure profitability within the region by monitoring and managing employee expenses for accuracy and abuse, use of overtime hours, and all full-time personnel's billable time to meet required percentage.
The Supervisor should stress the profitability factor to all field personnel. Weekly communication with Sales Managers is required.
The Supervisor will field all questions/concerns from the WTI Field Reps and will handle all discrepancies between the WTI Field Reps and the Sales Force. Conduct and foster professional and timely communication (via email, voicemail, in person) with the customers, sales reps, field staff, and internal company personnel on all work-related matters. The Supervisor will also be the main contact for the office personnel if there are any problems concerning a WTI Field Rep. Ensure that all WTI Field Reps will have a professional appearance and demeanor while completing services for a customer. Conduct training (both hands-on field training and classroom style) for Field Reps, according to WTI Training Policy, to include: Proper completion of all services and related paperwork. Safety training and training documentation for all Field Reps within the region. Approval/certification of each Field Rep including: OSHA Hazard Awareness, ToolBox Talks, etc. Provide training of new contractors on the proper application of Tremco Rood Systems. Demonstrate working knowledge of all services provided. Manage, monitor and document performance of Field Reps and take appropriate steps or corrective measures to resolve employee and work related issues.
Consult with Human Resources as needed. Work in conjunction with the Recruiting Department for hiring of all new personnel.
Ensure that all required paperwork is submitted to the corporate office on a timely basis.
