GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Machine Operator starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely.
There are three Machine Operator levels (I, II, & III).
The level will be determined by experience, ability to assume various roles on the plant floor, and demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and problem-solve machine issues resulting in efficient cycles and minimal downtime.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform work in a safe manner by following all written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures.
Follow standard work procedures to operate and maintain assigned machine(s).
Routinely meet or exceed production output rates per standards.
Ensure product meets certain tolerances and specifications.
Perform routine inspections per quality standards.
Understand production instructions.
Maintain accurate paperwork.
Package, label, and store products.
Cross-train on other production functions as business need dictates.
Clean and maintain assigned area to ensure proper functionality.
Report and assist with resolving safety, quality, and mechanical issues.
Participate in the continuous improvement process.
If appropriate, set up and operate various off-line and secondary equipment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
No formal educational requirement
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
No prior experience or training is required. Previous experience operating a machine in a manufacturing environment requiring, speed, dexterity, and an eye for quality if preferred.

Forklift certification.

The Quality Technician conducts testing on incoming and outgoing materials to ensure conformance to all quality requirements both internal and external.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Engineering Projects: Lead the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring they align with business objectives. Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are integrated smoothly with ongoing operations. Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
Maintenance Management: Lead and oversee the maintenance team to ensure equipment and systems are properly maintained and repaired. Work closely with operations, production, and maintenance teams to develop and implement reliability improvement initiatives. Team Leadership: Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities for the maintenance and engineering teams. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Conduct performance evaluations and manage the development of direct reports.
Budget and Cost Control: Develop and manage the maintenance and engineering budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources. Monitor and control maintenance and project expenses to ensure alignment with financial targets. Identify opportunities for cost savings through process optimization, energy efficiency, and resource management.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure all maintenance and engineering activities comply with OSHA, environmental, and other relevant regulatory requirements. Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring that all team members adhere to safety protocols and procedures. Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, and engineering roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial position. Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems (CMMS), reliability engineering principles, and project management methodologies. Experience with root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM). Autocad proficiency Completed formal training in and/or have at least 1 year experience applying continuous improvement tools such as TPM, Six Sigma, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, etc. Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects from concept to completion. Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of project planning, scheduling, and budgeting for civils and new-build projects
Lead project teams, ensuring effective coordination among contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders

The Quality Control Inspector in Portsmouth will report into the QHSE Manager and will ensure production standards and components meet all quality standards before leaving the area it's manufactured in, so a quality product is delivered to the customer.
You will also be responsible for preventing errors occurring within the manufacturing process

Carry out shopfloor inspections on product, ensuring customer specifications/industry standards are met i.e.
