Legend Brands has a full time opening for a Powder Coat Painter in our Prescott, AZ facility.
Must be available to work Mon-Thurs 5:00 am - 3:30 pm.
Some overtime may be required.
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Job Requirements:
Ideal candidate will have at least 6 months- 1-year previous powder coating experience or auto body painting or liquid paint spraying Position requires washing, sanding, and parts prep Preferred skills include working knowledge of powder coating paint solvents, sealants, metal finishing techniques Attention to detail and quality Task oriented with the ability to follow processes and procedures
Qualifications:

One batch is complete the operator will test for quality, adjust as needed to assure specification is met by following written standard operating procedures, and then fill product into specified packaging and palletize pails or drums.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Control or operate chemical processes or systems of machines using control boards, Human Machine Interface (HMI computer touch screen) or semi-automatic equipment.
Draw samples of products, and conduct quality control tests to monitor processing and ensure that standards are met.
Use appropriate scales or measurement devices to add materials to the kettle as specified by batch process orders.
Must be able to read and understand recording instruments, pressure gauges, scales, flow meters, panel lights, and other indicators to verify the conformity of process conditions.
Monitor control settings and make necessary adjustments on equipment.
Accurately record production and downtime via written documentation.
EXPERIENCE: No prior experience is required.

This position also requires application and monitoring of established quality procedures and methods for production batches.
Compiles, tabulates and summarizes QC data for analysis.
Prepares and offers constructive criticisms relative to variables and deviations from prescribed standards of quality.
Maintains statistical records having to do with quality, nature and causes of defects.
Expedites and follows up changes to allow for prescribed quality standards.
Request raw materials for use in formulas.
Position requires knowledge of batch making techniques, machinery operation, scales and meter use, and formula knowledge.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned. Weigh and/or measure out quantities of solvents, resins, pigments (or dispersions), and additives into blending tanks or grinding mills according to a batch ticket. Tend mixing or grinding equipment and maintain control over time, heat, mix speed, etc. Upon batch completion, take product sample to QC Lab for QC checks. Check production batches by comparison to standards Make adjustments to batch as necessary Recheck batch after adjustments are made until product is within standard product specifications Use proper analytical tools to compare product to standard specs and to wet and/or dry samples Record results of comparison and record onto batch card Consult with Main Lab chemist on products more than 10% out of product specifications Upon approval of product record data onto Quality Control car and enter information into computer data base Consult QC manual for specific requirements for product analysis of production batches and customers special requirements Calibrate QC equipment as required Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion.

Effectively lead and foster professional, clear, direct, and timely communication internally and externally.
Act as a liaison between headquarters and the field, lead and encourage effective two-way communication. Manage communication with TBS field operations, executive leadership, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment on initiatives and objectives. Facilitate regular strategic communication with sales, management, leadership and other key stakeholders to proactively identify potential challenges, develop resolutions and execute accordingly.
Leverage collaborative relationships to address higher-level discrepancies and ensure alignment between field operations and sales objectives including but not limited to field resource management, workload balance, job site conditions, product management issues, etc. Manage administrative requirements including but not limited to expense management, timecards and time management, monthly sales projections, status reports, large job approvals, sales quotes, project specifications, etc.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in related field such as construction management, business, management, communications, etc.
preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
With a high school diploma or GED, 5 years of related management experience in customer service, business, construction or services related experience is required. With a Bachelor or higher degree, a minimum of 3 years related management experience required; education will be considered in lieu of experience. On-site construction safety experience is required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
OSHA 10-hour training preferred
