Support capital projects by participating and reviewing equipment selection and layout to optimize maintainability and meet reliability goals.
Promote consistency by input on standardizing equipment, providing technical expertise for installation, check out, maintenance procedures and start-up of all new or modified critical equipment.
Participate in PSM activities as defined by site manuals and practices.
Participate in continuing education and industry conferences to improve competencies and keep current and evaluate new technologies for their applicability
Develop a full understanding of material identification code system, including hazard identification numbering for repair jobs that require clearing of equipment in such service.
Develop a basic understanding of the function of plant auxiliary equipment, including the fire protection system, boiler, heaters, air compressor, waste handling and emission control devices.
This includes specific tests or preventive maintenance procedures required for all equipment.
Develop a basic understanding of bulk tank systems.
This includes a numbering system and location tank tables, level measuring systems and transfer pumps for repairing such systems.
Develop a full understanding of the plant waste handling systems.
This includes sumps operation, holding tanks, separation, and transfer equipment for repairing such systems.
Work with internal customers to provide support for small projects; troubleshoot problems using operational procedures and products to eliminate downtime.
Help to maintain records on equipment to build history to track equipment service and replacement requirements.

Adhere to all company quality, safety, security, health and environmental requirements and policies.

Drive all phases of the MRO sales process for assigned account(s) and with a strong focus on end users of the Legend Brands products, including Dri-Eaz and other industry leading brands.
Responsible for field sales contributing to business building via end user engagement including contact generation, needs identification, sales calls/presentations, as overall account management.
Will also be required to work with distribution partners in the field, as well as handling inquiries regarding orders, shipments, and products. Responsible for executing business strategies that will continue to expand our end user client base and increase the company's market share.

Minimum Qualifications

GENERAL SUMMARY
Make all intermediates and finished products by adding specific quantities of certain raw materials and/or intermediates to a batch tank or grinding mill according to a written formula using proper batch making techniques and safe methods.
This position also requires application and monitoring of established quality procedures and methods for production batches.
Compiles, tabulates and summarizes QC data for analysis.
Prepares and offers constructive criticisms relative to variables and deviations from prescribed standards of quality.
Maintains statistical records having to do with quality, nature and causes of defects.
Expedites and follows up changes to allow for prescribed quality standards.
Request raw materials for use in formulas.
Position requires knowledge of batch making techniques, machinery operation, scales and meter use, and formula knowledge.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned. Weigh and/or measure out quantities of solvents, resins, pigments (or dispersions), and additives into blending tanks or grinding mills according to a batch ticket. Tend mixing or grinding equipment and maintain control over time, heat, mix speed, etc. Upon batch completion, take product sample to QC Lab for QC checks. Check production batches by comparison to standards Make adjustments to batch as necessary Recheck batch after adjustments are made until product is within standard product specifications Use proper analytical tools to compare product to standard specs and to wet and/or dry samples Record results of comparison and record onto batch card Consult with Main Lab chemist on products more than 10% out of product specifications Upon approval of product record data onto Quality Control car and enter information into computer data base Consult QC manual for specific requirements for product analysis of production batches and customers special requirements Calibrate QC equipment as required Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
