They are seeking a highly motivated FPGA engineer to join their FPGA Team, with previous experience of architecting, designing and successfully delivering FPGA based systems.
Responsibilities:
, Specification/design FPGA blocks
, Design documentation including FPGA requirements, specifications, design descriptions, and test specifications.
, FPGA laboratory-based verification work, system integration and test.
, Support existing FPGA design verification and board test activities
, Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on system architecture and design, providing inputs to architecture and design reviews.
, Write, simulate, and verify VHDL based FPGA designs.
, Schematic, PCB Layout support, and review.
, Proficient with scripting languages such as Python, and programming languages such as C/C++ for purposes of simulation/design environment development and laboratory test results analysis.
Requirements:
, Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering
, Strong knowledge of FPGA design flow : Verification, Synthesis, Partitioning, Place & Route, Timing Closure and Power Estimation
, Knowledge of interface protocols, memory technologies and communication interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C).
, Familiarity of electronic circuit & system design: analog, digital and power.
, Knowledge of embedded systems and processor architectures
, Experienced in the use of laboratory equipment such as Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, Signal Analyser.
, Experience with tools such as SVN & Git
, Preferred experience with VHDL and ECSS-Q-ST-60-02 - ASIC & FPGA Development design flow for space projects.

Field Service Engineer (Controls & Instrumentation) - Key Responsibilities
Complete controls, electrical, instrumentation site-based inspections, outages and upgrades which focus on the servicing and repair of gas turbines and power turbine assemblies in the 10 to 80 MW range along with Ruston Gas Turbine units TA and TB units.
Servicing and maintenance of gas turbines packages and their associated control systems.
Typically, Control Logix5000, Allen-Bradley PLC-5 controls, including Bentley-Nevada 3500 vibration equipment.
(Experience with the Rustronic MkII controls system would be an advantage.)
Carryout operational trouble shooting and fault finding on gas turbine packages and their associated control systems, experience with control of any associated rotating equipment, would be an advantage.
Service and maintenance of control networks and data transfer systems between control devices and DCS systems.
Interrogation of HMI systems during trouble shooting exercises including data gathering and event capture techniques.
Carryout instrumentation and equipment calibration and loop checking as part of servicing or commissioning turbine associated systems for pressure, level, flow, temperature and vibration equipment.
Carryout minor software and system parameter changes/adjustments on the controls systems to ensure efficient gas turbine operation.
Inspect, service and maintain auxiliary systems supporting gas turbines, including fuel and lubrication oil systems typically including pumps, valves, motors, and similar components.

An Assistant Superintendent with Stonhard is responsible for site supervision and installation of Stonhard products on projects within an assigned territory. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Someone who is detailed, a hands-on project leader and a problem solver. BS Construction Management or BS Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical or Civil) and 1-2 years related experience in industrial or commercial construction/project management. Must be willing to travel and have reliable transportation.

Some weekends required. Strong communication and organizational skills and have a thorough understanding of construction safety regulations. About The Company
We are currently working with a leading supplier of Turbine Solutions to industrial markets worldwide.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to speak to experienced Mechanical Field Service Engineers with previous experience of working on various gas turbine products and aftermarket solutions.
This is a remote based position (anywhere in the UK), however candidates must be able and willing to travel extensively, working on UK and International sites for both onshore and offshore installations for significant periods of time.
Candidates should be an organised and customer focussed Field Service Engineer, working either alone or as part of team carrying out mechanical service, maintenance and installation work on behalf of a variety of customers.

Mechanical Field Service Engineer - Experience Requirements
Ideally Apprentice Trained or hold a minimum HNC qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Relevant work experience can be considered in Lieu of formal qualifications)
Technical knowledge and experience of servicing gas turbines, particularly the power turbine and gas generator assemblies and associated auxiliary systems
Specific knowledge and experience of GEC Gas Turbines
Knowledge of Rolls Royce Avon, Olympus or RB211 gas generators would be highly desirable / beneficial
Experience of operating independently on site and in an office environment
Offshore Safety Survival Certificate desirable
Capable of troubleshooting and fault-finding operational issues on gas turbine package and auxiliary systems
Mechanical Field Service Engineer - Key Responsibilities
Produce and maintain site programmes and other site-related documentation.
Including site visit reports.
Complete Borescope inspections of Industrial Gas Generators and Power Turbines using technical expertise to produce reports of findings and recommendations for future actions.
Inspect and maintain auxiliary systems supporting gas turbines, including pumps, valves, motors, and similar components.
Complete alignment and balance checks between the power turbine and the driven unit equipment.
Complete specific projects related to the business of the company, including the potential to work in the Aberdeen workshop for small durations.
Write accurate and clear customer reports, outlining the tasks completed and any recommendations made.
Support the FSE Manager to ensure Field Service tasks are carried out safely and within tolerance.
Timely escalation of all critical performance issues and/or customer concerns to the FSE Manager/Operations team.
Ensure all customer and business requirements are met whilst adhering to company processes, Health and Safety and Environmental regulations.
