Family Solutions Key Worker
Job Description
Brent Council are looking for a Family Solutions Key Worker to join their team on an initial 3 month basis with potential to be extended.
The Family Solutions Key Worker will provide a flexible, intensive intervention service operating 7 days a week to families with complex support needs.
This includes families experiencing anti-social behaviour, mental health problems, substance misuse, domestic violence issues, or family breakdown.
The main purpose of the role is to improve outcomes for families, children, and young people.
Responsibilities
Undertake comprehensive assessments of all family members, identifying the training and support needs of a family.
Develop detailed innovative support plans in response to the family needs and to achieve the aims of the service.
Provide structured support to families whose children are at risk of escalation to Child Protection procedures.
Identify any safeguarding or child protection concerns and take appropriate action to raise such concerns in line with Brent LSCB child protection procedures.
Plan, deliver, and review group work and evidence-based parenting programmes for families and individuals within the families to achieve the aims of the Service.
Write reports and use other documentation as necessary and appropriate.
Maintain accurate case management records on Framework I.
Participate in regular supervision, appropriate training, Team Meetings, Away-Days and take part in the induction of other staff groups, offering training where necessary.
Requirements
Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant area of work, Early education, Social Work, Education, Youth Offending, or Health.
Experience and knowledge of working within diverse communities.
Significant experience of direct work with families who are experiencing multiple disadvantage.
Experience of working in more than one sector (from Education, Social Services, Health, Youth Service, Voluntary and Community Sector, Sure Start, or Child Care).
Experience of working with children and families in a statutory or voluntary agency including those with special needs.

You must be a car driver with access to your own vehicle for this role.

Monday - Friday 9:00-17:00
