Euclid Chemical has an exciting opportunity for a Coatings and Paint Formulator, to join our team in Cleveland, OH!
The Coatings and Paint Formulator will conduct laboratory studies on proposals to develop coatings and paint products.
This individual will apply quantitative and qualitative chemical and engineering principles, knowledge of materials, and material science to the development of new products and reformulation of existing products.
They will also be responsible for providing technical support to the North American technical and sales forces.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct research on raw materials, analyses data and applies research to the development of new product based on marketing input Prepare or direct preparation of product design or system layout Plan and develop experimental test program for laboratories in Cleveland Perform bench level laboratory tests as part of product development Direct and coordinate manufacturing scale up Support the North America Marketing and Sales group with field trials and field troubleshooting Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area Provide support to the North American technical and sales forces and manages specific product development projects for the North American market.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors of science or Masters degree majoring in Chemistry, Polymers, or equivalent work experience Chemistry knowledge of emulsions, latex and production processes Experience in developing coatings and adhesives such as acrylic paint, epoxy ASTM 881 adhesives, water repellents and curing compounds
Skills:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Control or operate chemical processes or systems of machines using control boards, Human Machine Interface (HMI computer touch screen) or semi-automatic equipment.
Draw samples of products, and conduct quality control tests to monitor processing and ensure that standards are met.
Use appropriate scales or measurement devices to add materials to the kettle as specified by batch process orders.
Must be able to read and understand recording instruments, pressure gauges, scales, flow meters, panel lights, and other indicators to verify the conformity of process conditions.
Monitor control settings and make necessary adjustments on equipment.
Accurately record production and downtime via written documentation.
EXPERIENCE: No prior experience is required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Basic Computer Skills required (Windows Familiarity).

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Material Installer III leads a crew or works independently to apply coating, waterproofing, and/or air barrier materials to new residential construction (homes, condos, and multi-family projects).

Load materials, tools, and equipment onto company vehicle and safely transport crew to the jobsite. Apply MS-168/Continuous Improvement principles to all aspects of the manufacturing process to drive improvement in production efficiency, product quality, and employee engagement. Train, motivate, and manage the hourly production staff within the manufacturing process.
Oversee performance skills matrix updates, initiates commendations, improvement plans and disciplinary action, as required. Work with/coordinates efforts between Quality Control, Engineering, R&D, and Maintenance departments for continual improvement of production efficiency and quality.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

What will you do?
A penchant for business development, working out of your own office, you'll meet & engage new and repeat customers in your territory; assessing their needs, you will provide a truly consultative Stonhard solution. Customer sales calls include a mix of existing/repeat business along with prospecting for new customers and projects. Closely work with your manager to meet & exceed sales goals. Participate in overseeing the successful delivery of product installation, ensuring optimum customer satisfaction.
Project management responsibilities include ensuring raw materials are on site, construction crews have everything they need and troubleshooting any installation issues that may come up. Full turn-key operation ensures a smooth install and helps secure next project in another area or building. Will participate in an enriching training process spanning over two years, traveling to our headquarters for pre-planned, scheduled training(s).
Base Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000
Uncapped Commission potential (First 2 years): approx.
$15,000 - $50,000
Supplemental Pay Types:Commission Pay, Bonus Pay

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Technician: Performs scheduled and unplanned plant process maintenance and repairs at a Commercial Roofing Manufacturing Plant in Cleveland, OH.
Responds to unscheduled maintenance issues as required.
Maintains parts inventories, submits purchase requisitions, and maintains equipment files.
Communicates job status as appropriate to operators, management, and other maintenance personnel. Troubleshoots, plans, modifies, and repairs/rebuilds all types of plant equipment Performs basic electrical troubleshooting, repair, and construction, as required Tests new or repaired equipment to assure satisfactory performance Modifies/fabricates as required, using welder, cutting torches and various machines and tools Keeps equipment, maintenance shop, and job sites in a clean and orderly condition Works in accordance with OSHA and Tremco safety policies and procedures Works from ladders, lifts, elevated places, and confined spaces, as required Documents work completed; reports job outcome/supplies Daily handoff /communication with other shifts Details job status as appropriate to operators, management, and other maintenance personnel Submits requisitions for repair/replacement parts, as necessary Enters MRO receipts in SAP system, maintains parts inventory/shop/equipment files/records Lifts up to 50 lbs., as required.
