GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Technical Application Specialist ensures proper application of Commercial Sealant & Waterproofing products in accordance with company and industry guidelines by providing both on-site and office-based problem resolution assistance.
This individual is a technical liaison between the business and Tremco's field-based internal and external stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide or obtain accurate and timely product application, qualification, and/or troubleshooting services to internal colleagues and external business partners Assist with general on-site product application, training, and general substrate review.
Assist with the generation and maintenance of technical documentation and collateral with various internal departments.
Examples include application instructions, technical data sheets, technical marketing collateral, product training programs, 3rd party testing/validation reports, and other product assets.
Assist in the collection of laboratory data forproject and/or product-specific testing.
Assist with and/or perform in-field and in-house analytical lab testing to confirm the chemical compatibility and physical adhesion properties of Tremco products on specified jobs, for evaluating new areas of application, new product development, and competitive product analysis.
Conduct jobsite observations/evaluations with customers and field sales reps to make accurate and timely product and installation recommendations.
Compose official letters and/or corporate communiques, including installation instructions, job qualification parameters, and competitive product comparisons along with assisting in the development of detail drawings to help secure sales opportunities.
Provide or obtain accurate and timely answers to inquiries on product usage, comparative competitive products, web-site navigation, product specifications, repair techniques, assessment and/or remedial course of action recommendations for jobsite problems, environmental regulations, construction sequencing, and technical product property questions.
Ensure product performance through proper recommendation of jobsite qualification and application techniques.
Possess and leverage a basic knowledge of Tremco's product portfolio.
Learn assigned core product line technology while assisting higher level Application Specialists with occasional direction.
Provide clear written and verbal technical support and product recommendations to internal and external stakeholders including sales representatives, technical representatives, owners, architects, engineers, contractors, installers, etc.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree inScience, Civil Engineering,Construction Management or similarfield; High School Diploma or GED and 4-7 years related experience required, in lieu of college degree.
EXPERIENCE:
1+ years of Technical Service, Technical Sales, or Construction Industry experience required with a Bachelor's degree in Science, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a similar field; or 4-7 years of Technical Service, Technical Sales, or Construction Industry experience with a high school diploma or GED.
Experience installing any type of exterior finish products such as metal panels, and framing is required.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

WTI Commercial Façade Foreman is responsible for the oversite and performance of safety, efficiency, and quality of the WTI Commercial Building Envelope business.

This includes responsibility for conducting safety meetings, complying with governmental regulations, reporting and investigating accidents, and planning site-specific job safety procedures including: • Conduct the daily onsite safety brief prior to the start of the WTI project with all onsite project personnel (Sales Rep, Customer, WTI Supt & Crew, Etc) • Inspect and ensure safety of surroundings, equipment and tools and identify and discuss any safety concerns.
• Complete the Daily Hazard Analysis form and submit to the Supervisors as applicable. Ensure all project communication is completed prior to the start of any WTI project.
This includes but is not limited to communication with: • Sales Rep on weekly/daily schedule • WTI crew members to discuss scope of work and daily tasks • The customer prior to arrival, upon arrival, and upon completion of daily work • WTI Supervisor on safety, schedule changes, project and crew updates, etc. Efficient project management to include managing crew start and end times, production rates, ensuring tools and materials are available to safely and efficiently completing the assigned project. • Complete the project per the scope or work, design and specification of contract & engineering documents.
• Complete an end of day and/or end of project walk through to ensure quality repairs and address any items prior to leaving the job site.
Before and after pictures will be sent to the Sales Rep and information will be included in daily project status reports.
These items will include, detailed work performed updates, materials consumed, and supplies purchases are all recording daily.
• Supervises, directs, and coordinates the scheduling and execution of projects in assigned areas.
This responsibility includes job start-up, job execution in accordance to contract specifications, job shut-down, and manpower scheduling, all consistent with the planned costs of the job. • Manages field personnel, including, but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, and retaining the quality and number of production personnel needed to meet operating demands.
This responsibility also includes laying off personnel, disciplinary action, employee assistance, and handling union matters relative to employees.
Ensure that all WTI Field Labor will have a professional appearance and customer interaction while completing services for a customer. • Responsible for the tracking and monitoring project inventory. • Maintains highest quality on-site customer relations in projecting positive image. • Has knowledge/understanding and assures assigned projects comply with all governmental rules and regulations affecting work sites and employees, i.e.
OSHA, DOT, EEO/Affirmative Action, EPA, Wage and Hour, etc. • Manage, monitor and document performance of WTI Commercial Field Labor and take appropriate steps or corrective measures to resolve employee and work related issues.

Experience: 5+ years progressive experience in a similar role to include leading teams and technical solutions, training, troubleshooting, etc.

Essential Functions
SALES/REPLENISHMENT ORDERS AND RECEIVING
Assist with freight loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving on appropriate trailers, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing to sales associates for processing. Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed, and/or shipped on schedule in accordance with Shipping Manual procedures Pull, from order copy, material by the container size, and lot number for shipment of Sales and Replenishment orders. Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Assemble materials into kits to satisfy customer or stocking requirements Ensure that all paperwork for carrier shipments is accurately prepared and customer pick-up shipments are tendered with a proper bill of lading. File requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area. Ensure the warehouse is orderly, neat, accessible, and safe for salespeople and customer traffic always Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department in a timely manner Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method, following all safety precautions and policies Open bales, crates, and other containers. Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via the appropriate computer program.
RTS/TINT ORDERS
Receive order copy and pull base material to be Rapid Tinted. Verify correct formula is attached to the RTS order. Add designated tint paste to the base product as called for by formula and verify proper color, per established procedures. Tag tinted material with the color designation. Stage tinted material awaiting shipment. Perform additional duties as assigned Commit to the Company's safety and quality programs.

WTI Commercial Façade Foreman is responsible for the oversite and performance of safety, efficiency, and quality of the WTI Commercial Building Envelope business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Actively administers and enforces Company safety policy and program to minimize accidents affecting employees, the public, and property.
This includes responsibility for conducting safety meetings, complying with governmental regulations, reporting and investigating accidents, and planning site-specific job safety procedures, including: Conduct the daily onsite safety brief prior to the start of the WTI project with all onsite project personnel (Sales Rep, Customer, WTI Supt & Crew, etc.). Inspect and ensure the safety of surroundings, equipment, and tools and identify and discuss any safety concerns.
Complete the Daily Hazard Analysis form and submit it to the Supervisors as applicable. Ensure all project communication is completed prior to the start of any WTI project.
This includes but is not limited to communication with: Sales Rep on weekly/daily schedule WTI crew members to discuss the scope of work and daily tasks The customer prior to arrival, upon arrival, and upon completion of daily work WTI Supervisor on safety, schedule changes, project and crew updates, etc. Efficient project management includes managing crew start and end times and production rates and ensuring tools and materials are available to safely and efficiently complete the assigned project. Complete the project per the scope of work, design, and specification of contract & engineering documents.
Complete an end-of-day and/or end-of-project walk-through to ensure quality repairs and address any items prior to leaving the job site.
Before and after pictures will be sent to the Sales Rep, and information will be included in daily project status reports.
These items will include detailed work performed updates, materials consumed, and supplies purchases, which are all recorded daily.
Supervises, directs, and coordinates the scheduling and execution of projects in assigned areas.
This responsibility includes job start-up, job execution in accordance with contract specifications, job shut-down, and manpower scheduling, all consistent with the planned costs of the job. Manages field personnel, including, but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, training, motivating, and retaining the quality and number of production personnel needed to meet operating demands.
This responsibility also includes laying off personnel, disciplinary action, employee assistance, and handling union matters relative to employees.
Ensure that all WTI Field Labor will have a professional appearance and customer interaction while completing services for a customer. Responsible for tracking and monitoring project inventory. Maintains the highest quality on-site customer relations in projecting a positive image. Has knowledge/understanding and assures assigned projects comply with all governmental rules and regulations affecting work sites and employees, i.e.
OSHA, DOT, EEO/Affirmative Action, EPA, Wage and Hour, etc. Manage, monitor, and document the performance of WTI Commercial Field Labor and take appropriate steps or corrective measures to resolve employee and work-related issues.
Consult with the WTI Commercial Supervisor and Human Resources as needed. Contributes to operations by supplying accurate and timely job information, including daily job logs, job file documentation, and compiling information for billing the customer. Provides management with the earliest possible notification of real and potential job problems. Accepts responsibility for the care, custody, and purchasing of company equipment, materials, tools, and other assets as assigned by the WTI Commercial Supervisor. Trains employees in proper material and equipment usage, maintenance, and storage. Coordinates and monitors the performance of on-site subcontractors, where appropriate. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Respond to customer calls, emails, and faxed requests.
Handle large volumes of calls, emails, and faxes.
Respond to all aspects of customers' and representatives' inquiries or requests (orders, product information, stock status, pricing, shipping information, samples, etc.) Accurately key orders into the system.
Check stock availability to confirm orders.
Make special requests such as color matching, special sales order process or (ERP) orders.
Ensure all orders are shipped and invoiced promptly and accurately.
Keep customer and/or sales representatives advised of anticipated ship dates and any delays regarding orders.
Be proactive in communicating changes to orders.
Obtain and continuously enhance a broad knowledge of product line, prices, delivery time and similar data as required relating to the business units being serviced.
Follow ISO required procedures as related to the customer service function.
Troubleshoot issues regarding pricing, tracing, and tracking orders, delivery times, product information and stock availability.
Suggest potential alternatives/solutions to customer concerns.
Supply MSDS upon request and as required.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, managers and personnel in internal departments whose functions directly or indirectly affect the service level to our customers (to aid in providing exceptional customer service).
EDUCATION
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a high-volume call center environment.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in written form in a professional manner.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
Understanding of Lean Management Principles is an asset.

Has knowledge/understanding and performs work in compliance with all governmental rules and regulations affecting work sites and employees, i.e.
OSHA, DOT, EEO/Affirmative Action, EPA, etc. Provides management with earliest possible notification of real and potential job problems.
