Job Purpose:
The ideal candidate will be required to carry out planned servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on the full range of large Vehicles as per service order descriptions and
service schedules.
Main Job Tasks:
- Carry out regular servicing, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic diagnostics, and general repairs.
- Competently use electrical meters, hydraulic flow, pressure gauges, and diagnostic tools.
- To communicate log-on/log-off times and job details to ensure the service order database can be maintained and updated.
- To competently and accurately write up and take supporting photos when required for job reports, carry out risk assessments, and complete defect sheets, service schedules, and any other forms associated with the service order.
- Maintain company tools and equipment and report any faults or upcoming calibrations required to the service desk.
- To maintain the company van in a road-worthy condition ensuring servicing is kept up to date and reporting any defects promptly to the Transport Co-ordinator.
- To carry out van stock audits and be responsible for arranging the correct parts with
the Service Desk.
- Feedback or write up any technical problems or product improvement
suggestions via the Engineer Change Request process.
- To adhere to customer Health and Safety on-site rules.
- Parts replaced under warranty to be accurately labelled and parts returned to
the factory or arranged to be returned within 6 weeks of part replacement.
- To drive any vehicles according to highway laws and to be courteous to other road
users.
