Experience working with General Contractors preferred.
An Assistant Superintendent with Stonhard is responsible for site supervision and installation of Stonhard products on projects within an assigned territory. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Someone who is detailed, a hands-on project leader and a problem solver. BS Construction Management or BS Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical or Civil) and 1-2 years related experience in industrial or commercial construction/project management. Must be willing to travel and have reliable transportation.
(Daily driving approx.
20% & travel within sales region, approx.
50%).
Some weekends required. Strong communication and organizational skills and have a thorough understanding of construction safety regulations. EDUCATION:

Position Summary:
Carboline is seeking a Chemist located in Greensboro, North Carolina.
This person will be responsible for applying and interpreting standard scientific or engineering theories, concepts, and techniques, requiring a working knowledge of related disciplines.
This position is looking for someone who will be developing new products and/or maintaining existing products.
Prior knowledge of the development, adaptation, and formulation of paint and coatings is necessary.
Having previous experience with the formulation of materials like; epoxy, urethane, vinyl ester, acrylic, alkyd, polysiloxane, and polyurea coatings for protective and marine applications, is preferred.
Requirements:
4-year Chemistry degree or equivalent experience, 10-15+ years Chemistry experience.
Must have prior experience formulating paint/coatings.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting up to 50 pounds; exposure to chemicals including but not limited to: Amines, Polyamides, Isocyanates, Epoxies, Alkyds, Acrylics, and certain inorganic compounds.
Personal protective equipment would be utilized.
Must pass annual respirator medical evaluation and pulmonary function test as required by OSHA. Essential Functions: • Working with lab director and sales management to design, develop, test, and introduce new and innovative coating solutions. • Development of new wall and floor products for application in industrial, architectural, universities and biological research laboratories. • Maintaining existing products. • Acquiring and using skills with in-house formulation and manufacturing software system. • Assisting in development of new product SDS's. • Position reports to Lab Director

Conduct research on raw materials, analyses data and applies research to the development of new product based on marketing input Prepare or direct preparation of product design or system layout Plan and develop experimental test program for laboratories in Cleveland Perform bench level laboratory tests as part of product development Direct and coordinate manufacturing scale up Support the North America Marketing and Sales group with field trials and field troubleshooting Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area Provide support to the North American technical and sales forces and manages specific product development projects for the North American market.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors of science or Masters degree majoring in Chemistry, Polymers, or equivalent work experience Chemistry knowledge of emulsions, latex and production processes Experience in developing coatings and adhesives such as acrylic paint, epoxy ASTM 881 adhesives, water repellents and curing compounds
Skills:
Read, analyze, and apply common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Computer skills required to prepare reports, graph and presentations as well as research specific topics via the internet and SAP formula management Excellent communication skills with the ability to read write and communicate fluently in English
