The Construction Plant Fitter will be working on a range of construction plant machinery.

As the Project Engineer, you will be part of one of the world's largest chemical manufacturers, who strive to bring transformational and sustainable solutions which address global material obstacles, every day, within a range of industries from Chemical, Engineering, Automotive and Aviation, to Medical and Electronics - creating smarter and more sustainable manufacturing solutions.
Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:
Own and manage whole assignments with a worth of up to £1 million.
Manage the detail design to meet the required plan, efficiently use contracted design resource, effectively review design documents and design deliverables suitable for manufacture and construction.
You will be required to complete technical review of vendor quotations, and clear recommendations on quotation analysis sheets.
It will be your responsibility to drive the EPC programme, whilst identifying potential cost slippages and implement effective corrective actions, on time.
Assist with the conceptual specification, design and cost estimation to sanction quality standard and monitor cost items under the job holders control, ensuring orders are within budget.
You will be responsible for up to £2 million per year of capital expenditure.
To be successful in this role as a Project Engineer you will need;
An Engineering Degree (preferably Chemical)
Experience of working and delivering projects in chemical, utility plant and manufacturing environments
A proven record of delivering projects from beginning to end including working with; budgets, design, materials, timescale and other responsibilities
To have an understanding of hazardous areas classification

Our partner has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to design and develop embedded software and Windows-based user interfaces.
Key Responsibilities for the Embedded Software Engineer:
- Development of software applications from concept design, requirements definition, detailed design, and coding.
- Working with Systems, Mechanical/Electrical and Electronics engineers as part of a team to ensure project success.
- Maintaining oversight of all software requirements and issues for a project
- Develop robust software with particular attention to fault management, fault reporting and health status of applications.
- Produce and maintain related supporting documentation (interface control documentation, input to user manuals, fault code lists and actions).
- Work with customers to assist with integration, commissioning, and problem-resolution activities, sometimes on-site.
- Understand the customers technical needs and concept of operations and feed this into wider project requirements.
- Work with the Project Manager, Technical Authority and Quality team as required to identify risks, issues, solutions, and opportunities.

- Extensive experience of writing C/C++ for embedded applications
- Experience of VxWorks
- Serial communications: Ethernet, RS-232/RS-422/UART
- Use of source control, particularly SVN and GIT

- Experience of using unit testing tools and technologies
- Static code analysis
Windows/User interfaces:
