The role
We are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Advisor to assist the Quality Systems Manager in ensuring the Business Management Systems and processes in the business are, implemented and maintained to relevant quality standards, i.e.
ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025.
You will be monitoring conformance to quality requirements by carrying out internal audits and following up on corrective actions and their effectiveness.
This role involves supporting 3rd party certifications audits and laboratory accreditations, as well as collecting and analysing data and reporting on quality performance.
You will providing specialist knowledge to the business in particular areas of quality and identify areas of improvement.
It is a UK wide role that can be based out of our offices, in either Wallingford in Oxfordshire, Consett in County Durham, Edinburgh in Scotland, Falmouth in Cornwall or Portchester in Hampshire.
The work is as varied as Fugro's portfolio and you will be expected to travel to different UK locations to support the various management teams.
Who we're looking for:
Degree in Engineering, Science or Communications.
Previous demonstratable experience/competence working in a Quality role.
Experience implementing management systems and reporting.
Sound understanding of ISO 9001.
Preferably experience in laboratory management and understanding of ISO17025.
Lead Auditor qualification with auditing experience preferred.
Excellent knowledge of the English language (verbal and written).

The basic salary for the Production Manager role is £45,000-52,000

The Role:
The Production Manager will work the following schedule:
Monday to Friday
Mon- Thurs 8am-5pm
Fri- 8am-1pm
As the Production Manager will be responsible for:
The Production Manager's responsibilities are to ensure all processes in the production of goods are followed correctly.
Constant communication with the Project team, engineer department and the Shop Floor team Supervisor.
Responsible for managing the shop floor staff to achieve on time deliveries of products which are correct to the drawing and customer specification.
Hold yearly month to month personal reviews with Production Team
The Production Manager will liaise with the Operations team to produce the production order and delivery dates.
Organise and host production meetings with the Shop Floor Supervisor to ensure that the production flows through the workshop to completion and inspection in a timely manner to meet the agreed despatch dates.
The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production process information in the job pack ensuring the paperwork is filled in and up to date at every hold point during the production process and overseeing the inspection and sign off of the finished goods prior to collection for delivery.
The Production Manager will be responsible for reporting back to the Operations Manager if production falls behind and a prospective delivery date is going to be compromised and agree a solution and a revised completion date with the OM, engineers, and commercials for the specific project.
Responsible for arranging the electrical installs on the required date with the electrical subcontractor including ordering the electrical parts required by the electrical subcontractor to be fitted into the kiosk the achieve the customer specification.
Establish commercial relationships with the internal suppliers.
Define and maintain the stock of materials according to the production needs.
Define in collaboration with the technical area standard solutions to be able to reduce lead times and to promote our portfolio of products in the market.
Prepare P&C quotations for the commercial area in collaboration with the technical area/ Solutions area.
To place the orders to our BU's, (switchgears, transformers, etc.), and to our internal suppliers, (P&C components, VT's & CT's, etc.)
The Candidate:
To be the right person for the Production Manager role you will require proven experience managing production teams.
You will also need:
Understanding of lean methodologies - Kaizen, Materials Management, Process Improvement, 5s…
Experience developing and implementing Manufacturing systems
Ability to organise and prioritise workloads
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
A self-motivated individual with strong leadership ability.
Excellent attention to detail with a problem-solving mentality.
