JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary:
Responsible for developing and growing Carboline's Water and Wastewater Sales in North America, as well as supporting major owners, specifers, and projects.
This position will work closely with all regional Sales Directors and Project Development Managers.
Minimum Requirements: 4-year Business and/or Marketing degree, or 10-15 years of experience in the water and wastewater market space with a focus on high-performance coating product knowledge, emerging market trends and strategic business development within the segment.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires minimal physical activity.
May require lifting up to 50 lbs.
on occasion.
Will require computer usage and knowledge of Carboline SFA.
Occasional exposure to various chemicals.
May require travel by car and air up to 60%, including nighttime.
Essential Functions:
Focus efforts to identify and prioritize new Carboline business opportunities in the water and wastewater market space. Works with Water and Wastewater Market Manager to implement the overall strategy in the market based on strategic decisions and opportunities.
Aligns and coordinates Business Development, RD&I, Engineering Sales, Sales Teams, and major application firms to drive growth.
This position will also directly involve the entire contract chain, starting with project development to successful sales transactions.
Will be responsible for providing input to Marketing on market and product research to determine the size of the market, pricing strategies, and targeted accounts.
Help identify new product requirements in an ever-changing market and share this information with the Fireproofing Marketing Manager and RD&I to ensure Carboline maintains technical leadership.
Works with Marketing Department to develop necessary support and promotional literature. Make joint sales calls with Technical Sales and Engineering Sales team to develop targeted accounts. Contribute as a thought leader in the water and wastewater market segment through participation in industry conferences, publishing articles, and engaging in speaking opportunities. Engage internal stakeholders through a robust CRM system to track customer interactions, sales pipelines, and project opportunities. Understands the necessity of meeting corporate and personal budgeted sales and margin goals.

ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:
The primary result expected from the Floating Night Shift Supervisor is to supervise the people at the facility and ensure the safe manufacture of products.
This is done by organizing and executing the shift production work schedule (as dictated via the production plan), to maintain a safe, efficient and organized working environment, and to provide leadership/guidance to all shift personnel.
This person will work in conjunction with both the 2nd shift and 3rd shift supervisors, when they are present and also cover either 2nd or 3rd shift, as needed when the supervisors are on vacation or call off sick.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Ensures that all plant operations adhere to DayGlo business and RPM corporate EH&S requirements, procedures, reporting and programs. Direct and coordinate the activities of all employees on the shift, in all departments. Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
Ensure the planning and scheduling of orders for plant production to maximize use of manpower and fulfill customer service requirements. Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between plants. Confer with management and others to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances. Interpret specifications, work orders, and company policies and procedures for employees. Gathers information, completes, and distributes end of shift reports.
Enforce work rules and administer discipline as required. Apply MS-168/Continuous Improvement principles to all aspects of the manufacturing process to drive improvement in production efficiency, product quality, and employee engagement. Ensure effective MS-168 Tier 1 meetings across departments. Ensure all departments are maintained in a clean, orderly and efficient fashion through utilization of 5S principles.
Train, motivate, and manage the hourly production staff within the manufacturing process.
Oversee performance skills matrix updates, initiates commendations, improvement plans and disciplinary action, as required. Work with/coordinates efforts between Quality Control, Engineering, R&D, and Maintenance departments for continual improvement of production efficiency and quality.
Prepares and maintains accurate data reporting and analysis, as required, and provides management with appropriate information.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
3 - 5 years departmental/plant experience in a Chemical manufacturing environment, preferably with liquid tint dispersions.
Must be a role model from an EH&S standpoint.
Must possess proper supervisory skills to ensure all direct reports and efficiently together to achieve business goals.

JOB PURPOSE:
The Corporate Project Engineer is accountable for providing capital engineering support within Operations.
This includes executing engineering projects for capital installations $200M+, project management from design through startup, and providing long range technical planning and strategies for the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for capital project execution including equipment selection, justification, CAR processing, purchasing, and installation.
Support start-up efforts including in person training and documentation. Design, recommend, and implement manufacturing systems that are designed for machine, human interaction, method/process, raw material & environmental variability.
Design to incorporate Lean principles to improve reliability, ease of use & maintenance, minimize changeover times, and to minimize production losses. This includes working with the plant operational teams on providing training, writing appropriate standard operating procedures, and maintenance training plans & parts. Apply the Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations to day to day operations and capital project work.
This includes writing appropriate procedures, conducting Change Management paperwork, knowing and applying electrical and hazard codes, signing off on Hot Work and Confined Space, correctly using contractor safety guidelines, and timely equipment inspections/certifications. Frequent interface with plant personnel, operators, coordinators, and maintenance personnel across a 3-shift operation.
REQUIREMENTS:
BS in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering preferred.
Industrial and Electrical Engineers with hands-on mechanical & chemical experience will also be considered.
7+ years of engineering job experience. Good project management, written and verbal communication skills are required along with a high level of initiative.
Demonstrated strong leadership skills, in project and people management in a continuous improvement environment in the areas of production, safety, quality and Lean manufacturing principles.

Minimum of bachelor's degree in Material and Mechanical Engineering or other related fields. 5 or more years of hands-on experience in new product development and tooling design, prototyping, and testing of mechanical systems with proven track record of successful new product design and development, preferably in durable consumer markets Extensive knowledge of product design, materials selection and manufacturing processes and direct experience working with a broad array of materials, preferably for various wipes of tools and delivery systems for coatings, cleaners and other consumer and industrial products. Excellent working knowledge of Computer Aided Design modelling concepts and software proficient with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) for 3D part modeling, drawing, and assembly creation of the mechanical components Experience working with tooling manufacturers both domestically and internationally. A passion for design, engineering, problem solving, with critical thinking and creativity. Ability to work effectively with a cross-functional team from project concept through commercialization. GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Assist in various laboratory tasks, including conducting experiments, analyzing data, maintaining lab equipment, and collaborating with senior chemists to gain practical experience in the field of chemistry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in setting up and conducting chemical experiments, following standard laboratory procedures and safety protocols, which may include preparing solutions, compounds, or reagents. Collect and analyze data from experiments or studies, using instruments like spectrophotometers, chromatographs, or microscopes, and may involve computer-based data analysis. Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment, including proper storage of chemicals, cleaning and sterilizing equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Perform literature reviews and research to support ongoing projects or gather information for new experiments, which could involve reading scientific journals and summarizing findings. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings from experiments or research, documenting procedures, results, and conclusions. Work collaboratively with other interns, chemists, and laboratory staff, participating in meetings, sharing findings, and contributing to team discussions. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
