Overview:
Join us in the London Borough of Sutton for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives.
We are seeking two experienced and innovative Occupational Therapists to review moving and handling needs and assess for optimal care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct moving and handling assessments with extensive experience and expertise.
- Guide and support the implementation of optimal care through robust risk assessment, positive risk-taking, and strength-based work.
- Enable individuals to live more independently and promote positive outcomes for residents while achieving savings through enabling optimal care.
- Communicate effectively and work in partnership with residents, their families, care providers, and other professionals.
- Complete targeted reviews across the borough in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of Social Workers and Assessment Officers.
- Make recommendations for equipment and adaptations, including major/substantial adaptations to assist people in maintaining independence.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act, Housing Act, and principles of safeguarding.
Reporting Structure:
You will report to the Optimal Care Lead Occupational Therapist and receive monthly supervision and guidance, as well as informal support.
Work Environment:
Sutton has embraced hybrid working.
You will be required to be based in the office regularly and conduct face-to-face visits with residents in Sutton.

In this role, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional occupational health service to our clients.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified individual to expand their skillset and experience in a supportive team environment, located just a stone's throw away from the beautiful Lake District.Please note, unfortunately we are unable to offer sponsorship either now or at any time in the future.Key Responsibilities: - Provide accurate clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to employees with musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries and/or disorders. - Classify presenting clinical MSK disorders into work-relatedness categories. - Deliver reports to Management following assessments, indicating employees' fitness to work and any necessary adjustments to their role. - Lead onsite exercise classes to rehabilitate employees with MSK injuries. - Conduct Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessments and provide prophylactic advice. - Identify workplace hazards and assess the risk of these hazards causing or aggravating MSK ill health. - Collaborate with the wider occupational health team to implement necessary work practice or working environment changes. - Complete comprehensive assessment and treatment records. - Contribute to health promotion events.Working Hours: - Monday to Thursday: 8am till 4.45pm - Early finish Fridays: 8am till 12.30pm - Potential for hybrid working with one day a week remotely.Salary and Benefits: - Salary Range: Up to £42,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience). - Assistance with relocation costs can be discussed if necessary. - Competitive annual salary with regular reviews. - Contributory pension scheme up to 6%. - Life assurance. - Starting on 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of service. - Discounted gym membership and cycle to work schemes. - Additional benefits including flu vaccinations, eyecare, and professional registration fees paid. - Access to Vitality Health membership.Company Overview: They are are dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of over 2.5 million employees across the UK workforce.
