JOB PURPOSE:
The Corporate Project Engineer is accountable for providing capital engineering support within Operations.
This includes executing engineering projects for capital installations $200M+, project management from design through startup, and providing long range technical planning and strategies for the business.

Responsible for capital project execution including equipment selection, justification, CAR processing, purchasing, and installation.

BS in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering preferred.

7+ years of engineering job experience. Good project management, written and verbal communication skills are required along with a high level of initiative.
Demonstrated strong leadership skills, in project and people management in a continuous improvement environment in the areas of production, safety, quality and Lean manufacturing principles.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct the daily onsite safety brief prior to the start of the WTI project with the Sales Rep, customer and the WTI Crew.

Per pricing procedures review each field service project over $5,000 for pricing accuracy. Submit all projects over $20,000 to the WTI Supervisor prior to submitting to the Sales Rep or customer. Assist with site management, building, and occupant security. Respond to and complete service orders in a timely manner. Maintain building and site-related records, including physical data. Correct as required all potential liability and safety issues. Assist with contingency information and plans for emergencies. Inventory control, storage, and security for housekeeping supplies and equipment. Daily trash removal and temporary storage as needed. Will be required to be on-call periodically to respond to building alarms and emergencies. All other duties as assigned.
Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:
High school diploma with some additional education and training in various technical fields. Maintain a valid driver's license. 2-4 years of experience in the general maintenance trade. Adhere to all company and facility EHS policies, procedures, and rules.
Observe all safety rules in the office, on the job site, and in the field. This position involves inside and outside work under all types of weather conditions and possible hazards involving site EHS issues. The physical requirements of this position are extremely demanding on the human body, arms, legs, hands, and feet. This position requires a response to property, security, building, equipment, employee, and regulatory issues 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. An Assistant Superintendent with Stonhard is responsible for site supervision and installation of Stonhard products on projects within an assigned territory. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Someone who is detailed, a hands-on project leader and a problem solver. BS Construction Management or BS Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical or Civil) and 1-2 years related experience in industrial or commercial construction/project management.
