This role in a nutshell:

  • PMO Partner for Organisation Effectiveness, assisting in the change management process to support delivery of the HR Wide roadmap and embed new ways of working.

  • This role will suit someone who is familiar with working in a PMO function, someone with stacks of emotional intelligence, and has a great sense of humor.

    This role is more of a Change Management "support function", not being directly involved in delivering and being accountable for the change, but supporting others with their change management priorities.

  • This team is the driving force to ensure the delivery of the quarterly roadmap consisting of large-scale, chunky, change programmes, which include the likes of Diversity & Inclusion and Location Strategy Change Programmes.

  • This role is hugely varied and, as the Change Office evolves, offers the opportunity to develop the role further.

    The role would suit someone who prefers not to have a fixed job description, someone who would welcome the opportunity to be involved and strengthen their knowledge across many specialisms whilst providing change management expertise.

    Working closely with stakeholders of all levels means you get to do this and help HR strengthen their change capability and ultimately perform better when it comes to delivery.

  • The Change office sits in Operational Effectiveness and is the central point for all the entire group's HR change activity.

Responsibilities of the PMO Change Specialist

  • This role involves being the translator, the leader, the coach, the teacher, but NOT the administrator.

    Whilst you need to influence and drive stakeholders to fulfill their priorities, by probing and asking questions like:

  • Are you doing what you said you'll do?

  • Is it up to date on the plan?

  • Important milestones, are these happening?

  • Your role will be to drive these priorities, managing lots of spinning plates, but not getting roped into doing the work yourself.

  • You will need to heavily influence, work in collaboration, partnering with key stakeholders, in order to drive quarterly roadmaps, but not doing the work for them.

    This role could be compared to that of a business manager.

    There is no hierarchical aspect to this role, if anything, you will need to work alongside a number of key stakeholders, acting as the positive influence to help and enable them to achieve their in quarter priorities.


  • Previous experience of change management and working in a similar support role

  • Excellent understanding of change management principles and financial/budgetary / audit expertise, willing to learn new tools and techniques

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in order to meet deadlines

  • Very good attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a collaborative and flexible manner and build effective relationships

  • Highly motivated to deliver results and ‘go the extra mile' to meet deadlines

  • Ability to lead and inspire delivery high-quality results.

  • Skilled communicator/stakeholder management with good written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to operate both independently and as part of a team

  • Have a continuous improvement mindset

  • Experience of standard change management technology and desktop MS tools

  • Industry-standard change management qualifications preferred

  • Experience of working in an HR function previously or having a general understanding of the Hr specialism would be useful
