Fire Alarm Inspector / LPS 1014

Up to £45,000pa / 37.5 hour week / early finish Friday / 25 + 8 days holiday / Car or car allowence / private use/ enhanced overtime and out of town rate / fuel card / tools / mobile phone

We are a successful company established for over 50 years, who manufacture, design and install their own systems with national coverage, employing over 200 staff across the business with 40 engineers nationally.

We are proud of our reputation in the industry and have a very low staff turnover, due to the support and ongoing training that our employees are provided with.

We are currently looking to recruit a LPS 1014 Inspector or a current Fire Risk assess to join our QA department to join as a LPS 1014 inspector

The main duties will involve;

• Visiting sites to ensure fire alarm systems have been designed, installed, commissioned and maintained to a good standard, compliant with relevant standards (BS 5839-1, HTM 05-03, NOMS and LPS 1014).
  
  This will be achieved by a combination of regular national site visits and collation of completed forms.
  
  Occasional overnight stays will be required and a company vehicle will be provided.


• Facilitating two external audits per annum to maintain LPS 1014 accreditation.


• Providing a supporting role as Fire Alarm Design Consulant to all internal departments.

The person:

• You should be professional, organised and have excellent communication skills and be confident to speak to customers on site about the work you are undertaking.
  
  


• You should also come from a basic electrical or mechanical background


• Hold a full UK driving licence.

• We will need to put you through DBS and Prison national database enhanced clearance due to the nature of our work and being on sites with vulnerable customers.
