IT Technician (1st Line)


Are you a 1st line support technician with a minimum of a years' experience supporting users with IT queries?

About the Company

Our client is a well-established educational charity based in the heart of London looking for an IT Technician to join their growing team.

Responsibilities

, To provide out 1st and 2nd line user support tasks as directed by the IT manager and IT Systems Administrator via phone and remote desktop sharing.
, To support the IT Manager and IT Systems Administrator in maintaining and monitoring the IT infrastructure.
, To manage and maintain user accounts across multiple service platforms.
, To ensure that IT queries are dealt with in line with performance targets.
, To install hardware and software on PCs and Laptops as directed.
, To configure network routers as directed.
, To liaise with external suppliers as required for supporting users.


, To collect and deliver IT equipment within the building.

To arrange for equipment to be collected and delivered from external buildings as required.
, To occasionally support the IT Manager and IT Systems Administrator on-site visits.
, To support the team to sort and frank mail.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Skills and personal qualities
, Minimum of 12 months related experience in a 1st line role.
, Strong drive to learn and develop, whether through internal training or self-learning.

Proven experience with and knowledge of supporting:

, Windows 8 and above.
, Office 2016 and above.
, iOS and Android.
, Office 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
, Active Directory.
, TCP, IP connectivity.
, DHCP, DNS and other standard network protocols.
, SOHO Routers.
, Backup and Anti-virus solutions.
