Risk and Compliance Manager

Strong regional practice with a solid reputation in the legal market requires a Legal Risk & Compliance specialist to become the main point of contact for risk & compliance at the firm in North Yorkshire.

The role is extremely broad ranging and includes, but is certainly not limited to, the responsibilities below:

- To draft, implement, maintain and monitor firm-wide manuals, policies and procedures and practical guidance;
- To work with the COLP and COFA on all risk, regulatory and complaint matters, including devising, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures, providing advice and maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory rules;
- To manage and co-ordinate the client complaints processes;
- To advise all practice areas on the SRA Code of Conduct;
- To provide risk & compliance training to staff;
- To deal with the firms professional indemnity insurance; and
- To be responsible for file audit processes.

Our client seeks someone with previous experience of working in a risk and compliance role within a law firm, or an associated organisation such as the SRA, who can not only demonstrate that they have up to date compliance and regulatory knowledge and experience, but they also have sufficient experience to effectively lead the Risk & Compliance work at the firm.
