Customer Service Team Leader

As Customer Service Team Leader you will be overseeing a team of three people, therefore you must be an experienced and influential team manager.

The position is based in Ipswich, reporting directly to the EMEA Customer Service Manager based outside of the UK.

This role will proactively deliver world class customer service, by supporting and directing customers, to the best of the Company's ability, helping it achieves its financial targets and goals.

As Customer Service Team Leader, you will be:

  • First point of contact for the team on daily tasks

  • Responsible for training schedules

  • Facilitating team meetings - weekly/monthly

  • A mentor for new starters and existing team members

  • Set annual SMART goals for the team in collaboration with the Customer Service Manager

  • Updating KPIs for the Customer Service team

  • Supporting in developing and delivering a first-class Customer Service Team

  • Supporting all customers with order progression via Telephone/Email

  • Communicating with key customers of order status

  • Order processing

  • Handling samples

  • Entering the customer complaints onto the system and making the follow-up with the different departments

  • Attending weekly meetings with the Customer Service Manager to align on the priorities and issues

As Customer Service Team Leader, you must be/have:

  • Several years of Team Leader experience in a Customer Service Department

  • Ideally, some experience in an international company

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent by experience

  • Experienced user of MS office, experience with ERP system

  • Problem solving skills

  • Strong knowledge of Word and Excel

  • Physical demands - standing and walking for long periods
