Factory Supervisor

Location: Horwich, Bolton

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Type: Permanent

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Factory Supervisor to join an established company based in Horwich, Bolton.

The company is rapidly expanding and looking to take on a Factory Supervisor on a permanent basis.

We are looking for a motivated and organised individual with excellent communication skills to support the operations department with management of the production teams.

As Factory Supervisor you will be reporting to the Factory Manager and duties will include;

  • Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning team members, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.

  • Manage the efforts of manufacturing team members on the shop floor

  • Communicate expectations to production team members and appraise their performance

  • Establish priorities to ensure manufacturing team members work efficiently

  • Check manufacturing equipment and control points to ensure efficient workflow is maintained

  • Address production problems as they arise

  • Organise for the repair or replacement of faulty production equipment

  • Evaluate new production equipment

  • Resolve problems by analysing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, recommending action

Factory Supervisors will be required to take supervisory responsibilities for various departments, on a three-monthly rota, or as required.

It may also be necessary to take responsibility for supervisor's holiday and other absences, cover for delegated departments and shifts.

You will need

  • Proven experience as production supervisor or in a similar role

  • Organisational and leadership abilities

  • Communication and interpersonal skills

  • Self - motivated with a result driven approach

  • Problem solving skills
