My client is a well-established award-winning wholesale business who trade multiple categories across various channels both in the UK and abroad.

They are set to embark on an exciting expansion phase which will be spearheading them to the top of the industry, and they are looking for likeminded successful individuals to join them.

They are looking to appoint a Managing Director to successfully lead the business and spearhead their planned expansion for the foreseeable future.

The successful Managing Director will work closely alongside a creative and passionate founder to develop the business, implement new ideas and ensure the business continues its successful incline.

A big part of this role will be driving forward a new ecommerce channel of the business, so they are looking for talented candidates who have experience either directly managing an ecommerce business or managing ecommerce as an omnichannel within their business.

The Ideal Managing Director Candidate:

• Must have a proven track record working at Managing Director, Operations Director or Commercial Director level, ideally from wholesale, retail or foodservice background.
• Must have good experience of working in the food or drink industry, whether it is for a wholesale business, direct brand or supplier.
• Should have good amounts of experience across various channels, including online/ ecommerce.
• Must have an extensive network of key contacts in the industry which they can introduce to the business.
• Proven ability to influence at all levels
• Ability to make a positive quick impression, gaining trust and engaging with key stakeholders.
• Strong financial, commercial and overall business acumen
