Operations Administrator


Contract / Permanent

Up to £30,000 depending upon experience

Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:30



The Candidate

•    Experience of working in a Customer Service / Administrator role is not essential.

•    You have EXCELLENT Microsoft Excel Skills
•    I.T.

literate – experience with SAGE is not essential but would be beneficial.

•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Confident telephone manner
•    Be able to offer support in colleagues’ absence
•    Able to work in a team environment
•    Be aware of all Office operations
•    Accuracy and attention to detail
•    An organised approach and excellent time management skills
•    The ability to use own initiative but also know when matters need to be referred to a Team Manager

The Role

Reporting to the management team and working closely with Sales.

  • Preparing quotations and estimating where necessary across all sectors.
  • Processing a high volume of quotations and product orders via Sage 200 through to client invoice.
  • Liaising with finance and the senior management team to process invoices for all sales transactions.
  • Reviewing and checking prices against agreed contract rates.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients and key personnel with customer , suppliers and internal teams.
  • Conducting business reviews to ensure clients are satisfied with their products and services.
  • Alerting the sales team to opportunities for further sales within key clients.
  • Letting customers know about other products the company offers.
  • Support/attending meetings with clients to build relationships with existing accounts.
  • Monitoring company performance against service level agreements and flagging potential issues.
  • Managing procurement - suppliers, supplier’s orders and direct delivery.
  • Managing supplier deliveries – co-ordinating to site, informing client, obtaining delivery timescales from suppliers, liaising with site teams/installers.

Our client is currently looking to recruit a Administrator / Customer Service Administrator in their office in Halifax reporting to and working with senior executives within the business.

This is a permanent role and with a well-established, privately owned company with ambitious expansion plans.
