Salary: £60,000 - £75,000

The Data Warehouse Developer will work as part of the Business Intelligence team and will help develop data-centric solutions to meet the company's business needs - specifically, integrating existing silo data and providing data solutions that reflect the integrated landscape.

Job Accountability & Scope

  • Gather business requirements and functional specifications.

  • Perform data analysis and data modeling as required to design tables and processes to fulfill the requirements

  • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database creating a data dictionary.

  • Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines

  • Develop data ingestion and integrations processes

  • Ability to work with multiple data sources and types (structured/semi-structured/unstructured)

  • Modify existing data warehouse processes and objects as necessary to include best practice standards

  • Query optimization and Performance tuning of complex SQL stored procedures and queries.

  • Mitigate existing disparate data sources into the enterprise data warehouse

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 1 - 3 years professional experience as a Data Warehouse Developer, SQL Developer or Data Engineer with knowledge of relational databases using Microsoft SQL Server or other RDBMS

  • Some experience with Reporting tools is desirable, like QlikView, SSRS, PowerBI and others

  • SQL Developer experience is required

  • MS SQL SVR and SSIS experience required

  • Able to write complex store procedures, user-defined functions, common table expressions, and correlated sub-queries

  • Experience in Data Warehouse processes (e.g., ETL, OLTP, OLAP, etc.) is required

  • Experience writing SQL queries and performance tuning analytic queries against complex data sets

  • Background in logistics industries preferred but not required

  • Experience with Finance, HR, Mfg.

    or Sales preferred

Education and Certifications

  • Degree in computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience

  • CBIP or CDP certification beneficial

  • Confidence communicating & translating data driven insights and technical concepts into simple terminology for business clients of various level
