Non-Executive Director (NED) – Leisure Sector - London

Position: Non-executive

Location: London

Commitment: 1-2 days a month

Salary: Negotiable day rate

COREcruitment is currently working with a luxury leisure business looking who are expanding.

This leisure company is a newer addition to the market however they have a brilliant following and extensive plans for growth.

This business is a leisure business; however the business is underpinned by inclusivity and sustainability ethics and looks to promote and support other businesses in the space.

The business:

  • A great leisure business who has a focus on a high-quality offer and has a strong reputation
  • The company is looking at the next stage of growth and wants to develop their customer offer, drive innovation in customer engagement and approach to digital and make plans for a sustainable and successful scale up
  • Currently focused in the UK while exploring international expansion
  • The current board is excellent and very engage with the business vision, supporting the exec team in leadership and strategy.

    However, some of the board have taken on great executive responsibilities and as the organisation grows they are looking to add one more senior leader to the NED board.
  • We are looking for candidates who can act in an advisory, guidance and mentorship capacity who can steer and question the management team on their direction, give leadership support and provide insight into past experiences.

The position and individual:

This position is aimed at experienced Non executives, with extensive experience in the hospitality, leisure or retail Sectors.

The business is either looking for someone with substantial executive experience at CFO / MD / CEO level within a minimum £50 million business OR a Founder who has started a London based business and then delivered expansion outside of London.


You will support and work collaboratively with the board to steer and guide the leadership and insure both the growth and future planning for the business is sufficiently on track!

Essential Criteria include:

  • Executive Director or Founder experience plus NED, chair, trustee or committee experience OR significant CFO/ CEO level experience in a much larger company
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of working in the leisure or Hotel sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of pivoting and developing brands though changing circumstances
  • Strong understanding of investor relations would be ideal
  • Knowledge of international and UK growth, M&A, property, investment and brand development would be ideal
