Recruit Mint have partnered with a market leading manufacturer based just north of Peterborough who are looking to add an Contracts Officer to join their commercial team This role will be two/three days office based and the rest working from home.

Role: The main focus of this role is to provide commercial support to the business by:

• Reviewing tenders, prime contract proposals and RFQs to identify key commercial aspects and evaluation criteria
• Negotiate and agree scope and terms & conditions with customers and subcontractors working closely with internal stakeholders
• Identifying contractual risk and associated mitigation activities
• Assist with preparation of Subcontracts, flowing down terms as appropriate
• Provide support to ongoing programmes on contractual issues
• Liaise with Northrop Grumman’s Corporate and Legal teams as required
• Manage contractual issues to resolution in collaboration with internal stakeholders

Location: Our client is based local to Peterborough with candidates able to commute from Lincoln, Cambridge, Kings Lynn, Northampton, Nottingham, Bedford or surrounding areas.

Candidate: To be considered for this role you will fit the below criteria:

• Experience in the preparation of - responses to contract terms and conditions in a Commercial environment and in the International arena
• Good working knowledge and experience of drafting contractual terms and conditions and other commercial documents
• Good working knowledge and experience of negotiating contracts and other commercial documents.  
• Demonstrable experience of working successfully on large scale captures and responding to Customers on contractual issues
• Be able to work flexibly under pressure
• Work independently with moderate guidance as part of a team
