The Role

Responsible and accountable for the efficient operation and maintenance of the factory, whilst complying with all relevant health & safety regulations and policies.


Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Main Responsibilities

  • Respond to machinery and equipment breakdowns.
  • Fault diagnosis and repairs.
  • Carry out scheduled work tasks and reports.
  • Management of stock and supplies of components and fittings, including ordering as required.
  • Liaise with supplier reps.
  • Maintain accurate service records and history reports.
  • Attend daily production meetings.
  • Understand and comply with ‘lockout tagout’ procedures, COMAH etc.
  • Communicate effectively with Maintenance Manager and Production Supervisors.
  • Undertake any further training relevant to the role.
  • Any other reasonable duties assigned by the department manager.
  • Contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the Evans plant in relation to production, packaging and logistics.
  • Ensure GMP requirements are met for all products and filling equipment.
  • Full compliance with the Company’s Health & Safety policy and relevant laws, wearing company uniform and appropriate PPE when required.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, safe and efficient work environment in line with 6S standards.
  • Ensure fire exits are clear and accessible at all times.
  • Vigilance in monitoring quality and procedures, reporting quality issues to management where necessary.
  • Work with relevant departments in relation to incident investigations when required.
  • Support the training and development of other engineers as required.
  • Understand and comply with all company procedures relevant to you and your duties including Standard Operating Procedures, fire and evacuation procedures, first aid, environmental policy, GMP, COSHH, COMAH and so on.
