Team Manager - Safeguarding

A re-shaped East London Local Authority is looking for a Team Manager to join their Safeguarding Team.

As the Team Manager, you will be planning, managing and developing statutory social work.


This role is a full-time, and permanent position.

As the ideal Team Manager, you will have Children's and Families experience along with Leadership/ Management experience.

You will need to be committed and have the drive to match this developing Local Authority.

Your responsibilities as the Team Manager:



  • Authorise budget expenditure

  • Provide leadership and support for staff

  • Ensure all staff receive effective supervision, appraisal and support

  • Carry out file audits and sharing practice and learning points



Requirements of you as the Team Manager:



  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)

  • A valid HCPC registration

  • Significant experience of working within Fostering

  • Experience of working in a Children and family's environment

  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence




Location: East London


Salary: up to £55,000 + retention bonus
