Mechanical Fitter

3 Day weekends every over week, quarterly bonus around 10%, 33 holidays and regular midweek (150%) & weekend (200%) overtime are just a few of the perks that the Mechanical Fitter will enjoy whilst working with this long-established, family run manufacturing organisation.



Operating solely in the Power Generation industry, this impressive manufacturing organisation produce their own range of products and supply customers operating in a variety of industries, including Manufacturing, Retail and Domestic Services.

Because of continued demand of their products, this employer is actively searching for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team on a permanent basis.



This is a LEEDS based role, meaning the successful Mechanical Fitter will easily be able to commute from surrounding towns & cities including Wakefield, Bradford, Castleford, Pontefract, Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Wetherby, Halifax, Barnsley and Harrogate.



Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter will include:

• Building and assembly various types of power distribution equipment and transformers


• Reading, interpreting and studying assembly instructions, technical blueprints, schematics, specifications and part lists (inclusive of subassemblies, tooling, materials etc.)


• Ensuring that all products are assembled and produced with exceptional levels of craftsmanship and operational in-line with specifications & tolerances

Working Hours of the Mechanical Fitter:
37.5 Per week over a regular day shift, with 1 in 2 Fridays off work

• Week 1: Monday to Thursday - 07:45 to 16:45


• Week 2: Monday to Thursday - 07:45 to 16:45 / Friday - 07:45 to 15:45

In return, the Mechanical Fitter will receive:

• Annual Salary: Between £25,350.00 - £27,300.00 per annum / £13.00 - £14.00 per hour


• Quarterly Bonus approx.
  
  10% of annual salary


• Holiday Allowance: 33 Days including bank holidays


• Opportunity to work frequent overtime paid at 150% midweek and 200% on weekends
