Social Worker - Adolescent Intervention and Prevention Team

Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is looking for a Social Worker to join their Adolescents Intervention and Prevention Team (AIPT).

This is a Locum Social Work role.

The ideal Social Worker will have extensive experience in multi-disciplinary and Adolescents team setting previously and be well equipped to work with CSE cases and gang work.

The key to success in this role is to be able to work on specialist cases confidently from the beginning of the contract with little supervision.

Your responsibilities as an AIPT Social Worker:

  • Manage a complex caseload including CSE, gang related and young people missing from home cases

  • Work on multi-disciplinary cases

  • Deal with custody disputes

  • Support young people's needs throughout

  • Liaise with connected services effectively to ensure the best support and outcomes are met

Requirements of you as an AIPT Social Worker:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)

  • A valid Social Work England registration

  • Have competent knowledge and experience of Adolescents work

  • A valid UK driving Licence and car is preferred

Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex

Umbrella pay rate: £35.00 per hour
