About Us:

We love flavour, first and foremost.

Next up is pizza.

So we've spent the last 18-months making countless mistakes in the pursuit of developing the perfect artisan focaccia dough for our Detroit Style Pizzas (DSP).

Cooked in rectangular steel pans, expect deep, fluffy focaccia dough, a caramelised, crispy 'frico' cheesy edge, and plenty of toppings.

Want to find out more?

From various sell out pop ups and residencies across Leeds, to road trips across the UK eating pizza along the way (tough job) Well Oiled has now found its first home in Meanwood and we are looking for a select few Well Oiled Machines to learn the craft, make mistakes along the way, and join the team on our journey to bring the hottest pizza trend in the US, to the shores of the UK.

Working in Meanwood within the kitchens of the soon to open Meanwood Tavern (from the owners of Whitelock's and Five Points Brewery) as the Lead baker & pizza chef you'll work between 40-45hrs/wk learning the ropes, and then taking the lead, of our #slowdough - making, preparing, storing, fermenting, proving and baking artisan focaccia - warning, it's highly addictive bread, prepare to get hooked early on.

In our small team you'll also help prepare the fresh ingredients that go into toppings, sauces, sides and sharers.

Have we mentioned the garlic donut bread yet too?

Furthermore you'll be involved with some service, and experiencing the joy of seeing people eat the most amazing slice of pizza you've just spent all week preparing.

Well Oiled is independent, founder-owned, run by people that know & love this industry and want to celebrate working in hospitality as a joy and something to be proud of.

We plan to open our own site in Leeds next year, and have plans to open several sites in the next few years, so come along and jump in the elevator at ground floor and see which floor you can get to...
