Overview
2fawcett Infrastructure & Construction are partnering with a major Tier 1 contractor who deliver critical national infrastructure projects across England's highway network, as well as major built environment and flood alleviation projects.



As the Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for driving change, promoting sustainable solutions and ensuring environmental compliance on National Highways Framework Schemes.



Responsibilities:



  • Support the site team to create sustainable systems of work

  • Achieve DMRB recycling target

  • Support National Highways to achieve their carbon targets on site through working groups

  • Ensure Sustainability and Environmental compliance on site

  • Contribute to Early Contractor Involvement meetings with the designers so the most sustainable solutions are considered at all stages

  • To implement methods of working to lower the site's carbon footprint

  • Monitor fuel, waste and material usage on site and recommend improvements

  • Work with external bodies such as Natural England and the Environment Agency to embed Industry best practice into the projects

  • Create and implement Environmental Enhancement plans which go above Client targets including an Environmental Legacy Plan for each project

  • Core responsibilities



Experience:



  • Previous experience in a similar role within the Construction sector

  • Environmental / Sustainability qualifications (Degree, Masters, industry qualifications etc.)

  • Full UK Driving Licence
