Compensation: Up to £60K inc car allowance

This business is a sector-leading, commercial building, glazing, and roof maintenance, specialist.

The business is currently searching for an experienced Business Operations Manager with exceptional people management & leadership skills to continue to drive the business plan and in a senior key role within the business, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Ideally, the successful individual will have a clear opportunity to progress to a board-level position.

As a natural-born leader, you will have strong leadership skills and the ability to coach and mentor people.

Ultimately, you are motivated by the desire to optimise productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion with a full back-office support function.

The specific duties of the Business Operations Manager include formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring material and resources, and securing compliance.

You should be ready to mentor your team members, find ways to increase the quality of customer service, and implement best practices across all levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way

  • Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices

  • Purchase materials and plan inventory

  • Help the organization's processes remain legally compliant

  • Responsible for creating and issuing all H&S paperwork

  • Formulate strategic and operational objectives

  • Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability

  • Manage budgets and forecasts

  • Lead on multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget to the highest quality whilst ensuring the customer has an effortless and brilliant experience

  • Motivate, manage, and lead a team of currently 10 field technicians with the growth plan to increase significantly over the next twelve months

  • Find ways to increase the quality of client delight

Requirements and skills

  • Proven work experience as a business operations / contracts manager or similar role

  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management

  • Experience budgeting and forecasting

  • Familiarity with business and financial principles

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Leadership ability

  • Outstanding organisational skills

  • Knowledge of building fabric
