IT/ Computer Science Lecturer

The job
We are looking for a full-time, permanent ICT/ Computer Science lecturer.

In this role you will be teaching around 24/ 25 hours a week, with the remaining time for administration/ marking time.

The annual salary for this role is up to £32,000 per annum, however there is potential for this role to become a curriculum lead, meaning potential for higher pay.

We are also looking for someone to work 15th of September for one day.

The college has advised that the successful candidate for this day will be contacted for additional twilight hours and cover work with this college, so it's an excellent opportunity to start working with them.

Role responsibilities
- Lead classes and lectures in IT and Computer Science classes in levels 2 and 3 BTEC courses.
- Plan and create learning resources and lesson plans and mark students work to ensure continued dynamic progress.
- Identify gaps in student learning/ student issues and liaise with other colleagues to resolve these issues.

The person & qualifications
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification or be working towards one (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed).
- Hold a relevant qualification in a similar field.
- Have recent industry experience relevant to IT and Computer Science and/ or lecturing.
- A DBS Certificate that is on the update service, or be willing to apply for one
