Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

My client is a leading and fast expanding manufacturing company based in Mid-Kent.

Within this position you will be responsible for maintaining the IT systems and networks.

You will perform both technical and administrative tasks to ensure functionality and efficiency of computer and telecom systems.

You must be knowledgeable in software, hardware and networks, must be a critical thinker and problem-solver with great attention to detail.

Since end user support and teamwork are integral aspects of the role, excellent communication and people skills are required.

Duties
, Alongside the team, develop and maintain protocols for the use of IT across departments and projects
, Provide advice on the most suitable IT choices, testing and evaluating potential new technology, software or apps as necessary
, To set up new users' accounts and profiles and manage the IT onboarding process
, Provide technical support or training to all users.
, Act as link between end users and higher-level support, logging all incidents and requests, their acknowledgements and their resolutions and ensuring that all support tickets are handled effectively and communicated as appropriate
, Set up hardware and install/ configure software, perform health checks and maintenance activities
, To support the rollout of new computer software or applications with the support of the team
, To establish and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, end users and other professionals (e.g., suppliers and software developers)

Requirements
, BSc/BA in information technology or computer science (or similar) is preferred
, Proven experience in a similar IT Support role
, Commercial awareness, with an understanding of general business structure and cross functional departments
, Experience in network management and help desk support would be beneficial
, Solid knowledge of multiple IT systems and applications
, Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues
, Ability to see a project or process end to end to completion
, A solutions finder with a proactive, logical approach
, Strong communication and interpersonal skills
, Outstanding attention to detail
, Excellent organisational and coordination abilities
, Ability to remain confidential if handling sensitive data

As a business they do try and stick to core office hours where possible, but due to the nature of this role some duties may require you to work outside of office hours on an ad-hoc occasion.
