Banking and Payment Executive

Job Description:

Our client a global offshore wind business is seeking a Banking & Payment Specialist to join their team in Edinburgh.

You will be responsible for evaluating, negotiating, and implementing new banking relationships and then, managing the relationship with those banking partners including the opening and general management of bank accounts for new projects

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts or Finance Administration role.

  • Experience using multiple online banking portals.

  • Experience within Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

  • Cash management, funding, and hedging experience.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a member of a small team.

  • Strong attention to detail.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating, negotiating, and implementing new banking relationships and then managing the relationship with those banking partners including the opening and general management of bank accounts for new projects.

  • Shaping of a new accounts payable system and associated procedures, ensuring that appropriate payment controls, interfaces and reporting are in place.

  • Taking ownership of all payments including draw downs, accounts payable, payroll and employee expenses, ensuring appropriate standards of financial governance, control and record keeping are in place across all aspects of these processes.

  • Providing the necessary reporting to both internal and external stakeholders as required.
