The Role:

A fantastic opportunity is now available for a Customer Care & Sales Advisor role based within a Christian Charitable Organisation with a competitive salary of £18,525 per annum.

The Customer Care & Sales Advisor role will be accountable to the Head of Department for Sales, Distribution & Customer Care.

The client has developed a reputation for meeting the needs of parishes and parishioners with catechetical resources, weekly sheets, and general Christian books.

In more recent years they have been providing the education sector with classroom aids and resources together with practical support books for Teachers and Head Teachers.

The role as a Customer Care & Sales Advisor will work with the Head of Department for Sales, Distribution & Customer Care to meet sales and performance targets using telephone campaigns and occasionally direct contact with customer events.

The role as a Customer Care & Sales Advisor requires an enthusiastic and organised person to ensure that all customer requirements are handled in a professional and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:



* To be one of the first points of contact for all telephone callers and visitors to the Charity, ensuring that they are welcomed with courtesy and respect.


* Deal with sales enquiries


* Play a proactive role in telesales and marketing campaign's by contacting potential new and existing customers with the aim of increasing sales.


* Accurately complete computer-based sales orders, update confidential customer records safeguarding GDPR principles, and undertake routine administration tasks associated with supporting the customers.


* Actively engage in customer research to help inform the Charity's strategic priorities


* Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and take responsibility for key account management including some Trade customers as directed by the Head of Department


* Maintain and update Sales Event Calendar


Skills, experience, and qualifications:



* English language and literacy GCSEs minimum grades C, or equivalent


* Previous experience of working in Sales and/or Customer Service role


* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in customer service - desirable


* Willingness to learn new product information


* Knowledge of customer services principles and practices


* Excellent communication skills


* Excellent customer care


* Knowledge and skills of Sage 200 would be beneficial


* Ability to work as part of a team


* Excellent organisational
