Supply Chain Manager (Contract)

Hybrid Supply Chain Manager (1/2 days home and the remaining in the office per week) to work alongside a globally leading FMCG company based in Leatherhead (Surrey) on a 4- 6 month contract with the potential of extension.

This exciting role as Supply Chain Manager will be working alongside one of the world's largest consumer goods companies driven by their goal to make sustainable living a commonplace.

This company are present in close to 200 countries and have 400+ brands with billions of people using their products globally, to do so they have an employee count close to 150,000 across the world.

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for delivering outstanding service, supporting growth of the business and being the main point of contact as the Supply Chain Manager for the company.

You will be in control of forecast quality measures, residuals & business waste including delist execution measures for the UK & Ireland business units.

Responsibilities of a Supply Chain Manager

  • Support the UKI (UK & Ireland) business units in developing & delivering business plans in representing the end to end in multi-functional forums.

  • Have outstanding communication & customer service skills (dispatch rate, second time right, AGS results), and support growth through innovations and other change projects.

  • Be in full control of short & long-term forecast while continuously improving the quality of the forecast (forecast bias & forecast accuracy) working closely with the planning teams and sourcing units to integrate market activities.

  • Understand current produce's stock life cycles and complexities to minimise waste of stock keeping units which have been delisted from sale.

  • Have knowledge of internal UKI commercial and financial plans, in order to identify any impacts, and to constructively challenge the plans for the best results for the company.

  • Understand critical trade-offs in the extended process (e.g.

    Capacity, Stocks, Service).

    While leading issue resolution, communicating clearly, quickly, and proactively escalating as needed with all departments.

To be successful in this role you must have previous experience within this field including planning experience such as market, demand supply, materials or category Planning.

With the company been a leading global FMCG business all candidates should have operations experience for example, within manufacturing or logistic operations with also past experience running multifunctional teams within sales and marketing.
