£55-65,000 + Bonus

The Atlas Recruitment Group are currently searching for an experienced Database professional to join a successful and growing Cloud Transformation Consultancy as their DBA & Hosting Services Manager.

This is a hybrid working role with travel into their offices 1-3 times a month however this is flexible.

The organisation help their customers across the Public and Private sectors of the UK to transform their infrastructure and assist them on their journey into the cloud, utilising the latest Microsoft cloud products to create a more reliable, efficient and cost-effective solution.

The organisation have experienced a high level of growth both internally and externally over the past few years and they are on their way to becoming one of the go-to consulting partners in the UK for Cloud Transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Lead, motivate, direct and provide day-to-day management and development to the DBA and Hosting Services team (consisting of DBAs and infrastructure engineers and administrators)

  • Contribute to development of policy, standards and guidelines.

  • Provide expertise and extensive knowledge in specialist areas, working in partnership with senior management team to plan for emerging changes, strategies or initiatives within the organisation.

  • Devise and implement data management processes, including classification, security, retrieval and retention processes.

  • Oversee the maintenance of standards, processes and documentation for data centres, both on premise and cloud platforms.

    Optimise efficiency in population of data centre space.

    Ensure adherence to all relevant policies and processes.

    Use data centre management tools to plan, record and manage the types of infrastructure installed and the associated power, space and cooling capabilities, usage and actions to meet corporate sustainability targets.

  • Flexible and responsive, the post holder will be expected to be able to respond to new challenges and opportunities.

  • The post holder is expected to hold a commercial understanding when making decisions whilst ensuring customer relationships are considered.

Requirements: -

  • Team Management/Lead experience

  • Experience working in a customer service environment

  • Extensive knowledge of Databases and Hosting Services
