IT Manager

We are currently working with one of our prestige clients in London, they help industries and government unlock the power of technology.

They work with government departments and global tech companies to deliver innovation projects across a broad range of topics.

From national security, transport, healthcare, cyber security, telecoms and 5G, inclusive innovation and more. 

Company operates in London, Manchester and Cheltenham.

Its coworking space in London is based at Stratford and is home to over 800 innovators who are breaking new ground in cyber security, art and design, healthtech, AI and more. 

About the Role

We're looking for a highly motivated IT manager who will be accountable for IT services that are critical to their business.

You'll be highly focused on customer service with a proven track record of both managing internal and external suppliers and building relationships with senior business stakeholders.

Working with delivery stakeholders, you'll be able to obtain and interpret relevant data to:
, understand service priorities
, improve the operational effectiveness of services and add value to different parts of the business

, Ownership of a set of IT services delivered to business functions, ensuring integrity is maintained and performance managed
, Conduct IT service reviews with business functions and service providers, ensuring vendors achieve their targets
, Assume responsibility for achieving all business-facing IT service measures, making sure that agreed business outcomes are achieved
, Take accountability for escalated issues and managed incidents, prioritising technical resources to achieve desired outcomes
, Clearly understand the business priorities and drivers, ensuring roadmaps for IT services are aligned
, Ensure new services are introduced effectively with appropriate monitoring, metrics and support in place
, Protect services by managing risks, approving changes and planning releases
, Work with delivery stakeholders to foster and maintain a service culture and continuous improvement ethos
, Make sure all IT and security policies are maintained and up to date, and continue to develop the security strategy
, Undertake project delivery work relating to IT and information services.

For example, the rollout and adoption of new software or systems, as well as managing upgrades and patching.

, Responsible for acting as a business partner to the organisation.

You should understand the IT and data needs of each department and function, ensuring that processes and systems are in place to support good practice and efficient working.

, Responsible for ensuring good IT practice is in place.

For example, managing the organisation's asset register - including all subscriptions and software licenses or change management processes.

Candidate Requirements
, A background in coworking/shared office space background would be extremely beneficial
, Experience of service management and customer-facing experience within the startup and scaleup scene
, Experience of Service Introduction and Delivery Management in a multi-supplier, outsourced environment through an appropriate set of agreed service levels and a suitable service monitoring and reporting framework
, Proven track record of continuous service improvement
, Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, peers and external providers, turning technical information into business language and vice versa
, Proven ability to influence and build effective working relationships with customers and peers, as well as internal and external providers
, Demonstrable skills and certification in best practices or methodologies such as ITIL
, A tenacity to deliver with the resilience to deal with difficult situations
, Experience in supporting Microsoft 365 suite, including admin tools such as InTune
, Experience in data analysis, preferably with Power BI
, Experience in administering and supporting Salesforce
