I am working closely with my Bedfordshire-based client, a leading designer and manufacturer of special purpose equipment serving a global client base across a range of industries, to find an experienced Buyer to join their in-house Materials Control & Purchasing team.
As their Buyer you will primarily be focused on purchasing materials, components, supplies and services essential to support the ongoing operations of the business.
The successful candidate will ensure that purchases are of the required quality and quantity, are delivered on time, and at the most economical cost.
This will involve negotiations with current and potential new suppliers.
This is an exciting time to be joining them as they are continuing to expand their product ranges, including exploring new markets, and the ongoing development of the next generation of products means that your work with current and potential new suppliers will have a direct impact on these ideas turning into a reality.
Applications are invited from experienced Buyers and Procurement Professionals with previous purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
You should have a successful track record of establishing and developing relationships with suppliers and proven negotiation skills.
Although this role will be based at the company headquarters in Sandy, there may be the requirement for domestic or international travel on very rare occasions to meet with current and potential new suppliers, so a driving licence and passport are desirable.
Previous experience of using an ERP system is highly desirable (Winman in particular) but in-house training can be provided.
In return they are willing to pay an attractive salary for the right candidate which will be negotiable based on experience, attractive benefits package, and career progression opportunities within the company in the future.
More information available upon application.
When applying for this role, please indicate your current salary (plus benefits package), minimum salary required, notice period and your reasons for wishing to move from your current company.
