To support AlloyGator in its future growth we are seeking out a highly capable, experienced Accounts Supervisor to head up all accounting activity, ensuring we move forward with a strong and accurate computer-based financial data pool.
You will be fully IT literate and have strong experience of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central in respect of both Finance and Stock Control.

The Accounts Supervisor role would suit a professional individual with several years' all-round accounts experience, who is used to being part of a small team.
You will have experience of building a team in line with business growth requirements and be prepared to roll up your sleeves and undertake day-to-day processing tasks whilst in the early stages of this journey.
Strong IT and communication skills are essential, as is a strong business awareness and the ability to work under your own initiative whilst being an all-round team player.
You will report directly to the Finance Director, ensuring accounts payable and accounts receivable are run efficiently, collating payroll information and posting journals, together with month and year-end duties.
You will be experienced with the requirement to keep digital VAT business records and will be required to send returns using Making Tax Digital (MTD)-compatible software.
The ideal candidate will also have experience of inspecting and submitting European VAT returns through Amazon/Avalara.
You will need to have experience in the above and ideally be AAT qualified.
You will need to be confident and happy to work autonomously.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a business undertaking both UK sales and Export activities and will have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
An understanding of exports and automated stock control systems would be an advantage.
, Preparation of monthly and quarterly accounting reports.
, Analysing financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting practices.
, Identifying potential cash flow problems and financial irregularities.
, Liaising with department heads to set and ensure that each department remains within budget.
, Accurately preparing tax returns and ensuring that company taxes are paid in a timely manner for both UK and EU authorities.
, Performing reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
, Providing regular updates to management regarding company finances.
, Ensuring that the company maintains compliant with accounting legislation.
, Bank Reconciliations.
, Daily cash flow.
, Reconciliation of Sales & Purchase Ledger.
, Credit Control.
, Month and Year end duties.
, Uploading all Expense invoices to system including accruals/prepayments with strict month-end deadlines.
, Credit Application processing of new customer's accounts.
, Weekly meetings with Finance Director for updates on the aged debtors and escalation where needed.
, VAT returns ensuring all legislative responsibilities are met.
, Provide cover for the Finance Director in their absence, ensuring efficient and smooth running of the accounts function.
, Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
, Proven attention to detail and ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously.
, Proven experience working as an Accounting Supervisor.
, Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
